but still i've read that DA:I sold in first moth pretty much the same amount of copies DA:O did in first month (DA:O was cracked on Day1 iirc) - so i dont think denuvo is such a huge success, if you take in mind higher budget and bigger marketing

I agree that Denuvo is a success per se.
What you're talking about is the fact that people simply don't give a shit about the DA franchise, no matter how derpy Bioware is trying to make it and despite all the GOAT nominations from gaming sites.

just to annoy the honest buyers i presume. |
This was discussed many times. Its to prevent day 1 piracy. to get sales from people who absolutely must have the game on/near release.
Denuvo is a huge success due to this. Just read through the thread on how many people here bought it due to the lack of a crack, now project that onto the whole freaking planet.
Denuvo paid for itself and then some. |
i presume drm free witcher 3 have already more preorders vs pc da:i.
many people buyed because of mexican origin.

Well DA:O was a big budget revival of party based rpg's of the past. It had great consumer reception, while DA:I is a sequel to DA 2 which wasn't well accepted by the fans. The series, and the company have lost consumer respect since DA:O from ME 3 as well.
All of that probably contributed to the sale numbers, and IMO, without denuvo, they would have been worse.

People always look for discounts, if the mexican origin didn't exist, many people would still have bought it cause it wasn't cracked.
Witcher 3 has been on preorder for a long time now, and consumer appreciation for the company and the series is very high. That probably has a lot to do with the sales, although i don't know the numbers.

OK lets agree to disagree , IMO denuvo or not it didnt really matter for majority of buyers - as from the hardcore Yarr gamers IMO the number of impatient buying tyes is pretty much the same as heavily anti-DRM types

This game is beyond my expectations. Yeah controls are terribad and skill tree is dumbed down to nothing, but the content in it and the overall feel of the story is great. You actually feel like an important political figure in this game. Dialogues are well written and mostly, besides the side quest-nonsense, writing is actually great! It's nothing like DA2. They did their research on Witcher very well it seems. And oh finally, bisexual characters doesnt shove it at your face. They've learned their lesson in this matter finally.
I can give this a solid 7.5/10. It could've been easily 9/10 but because of the cons I mentioned above, It's a no go. This game popped my expectations from BioWare higher.
+ I fucking love reading the codex!

That is just an option. I don't mind it at all. Characters does not show it or try to pick on you, that's what I meant. In DA2 and ME3 characters did it all the time and it was disturbing. They got over it.

no problems with my repack and the rest of the world, you may consider unlucky , maybe your cpu is the problem AMD?

Issue isn't CPU related, judging by the event viewer, there's something wrong with a .dll file. And i'm not the only one.

Every party member gets a new tree at a certain point in the story.

You unlock specialization trees after you get to Skyhold. Follow the main quest to get there.

Yup, what dsergei and Snifty said. You get the chance to choose one of three extra skill trees for yourself, while your party members get one unchangeable tree based on their character. So if you're already up in the high levels, like 12+, try to save every point you get so you can make the most of the new subclasses. This is another plus for moving quickly through the story before overlevelling, you get to Skyhold faster and can get your new subclasses *before* you're too high level to actually make much use of it.
Oh and unless you micromanage *everything* your team does, I recommend keeping Iron Bull's skills under check. His "Reaver" subclass deals damage to himself in order to fire off skills that improve when he has lower health. He uses this automatically a LOT, which means he goes through potions constantly.

LOL! The game runs flawlessly on AMD. There we people with i7 on the forum who cried about not being able to even launch the game while I never had even a single issue with my 8350. I am 25 hours in. No problems on my end since the day when the crack went live for the public. If his problem is CPU related then he's probably using Intel, thats for sure.

True but then you're still high level and earning the *next* skill point takes just that much longer.

But that will be true regardless of your skill choices.
I think it might even be a better idea to use all the points you have as early as possible, so you can see which skills are of any real use. When you get your specializations you will have a better idea of which base tree skills to keep and which you could switch out for the "special" ones.

So how did everyone fix the banter bug? I mean the "not hearing companions for hours and hours" bug...
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Unfortunately I fixed that bug by waiting for an update...If update won't play nice with current crack or updated crack won't be released, I suppose I'll buy this game on sale some day and play it when it's fixed.
