I imagine thats exactly why they cancelled the premiere, to not encourage any situations. Dont get me wrong, I think that whole situation is bullshit, but Im not suprised by the reaction of cinemas. Sony just should make it avaliable online for either free or on stuff like netflix.

No idea what's that about that batman premiere but you are right.
- Basically if anything bad happened Sony would be done for because the press would turn it into "Sony is so corrupted, as we've all seen with their leaked emails, that they valued the $ of a movie over the lives of people". You can be damned sure this is how the press would process and present it.
- The hackers have been threatening to release something *huge* with the implication it would *really* hurt Sony.
Basically Sony made the best decision they could make. It's not pretty but it has the lowest risk right now.
Sony does not and should not give 0 shits about "bu-bu-but you can't censor art!!111". They are a corporation and they should be looking to save their corporate asses.

Exactly that, same as cinema owners. And batman premiere - you didnt hear about that? some retard killed ~20 people and hurt many others during batman screening in some cinema, google batman premiere shooting/killing
