Hi I tried to mount the X3 game with alchol 120% but its give me a black windows and cannot
countinue to install..I have all my drivers upadate .Thnx help !!!!
My pc are :
XP PROFESSONIAL SP2
AMD ATHLON 1.33 GHZ 640 OF RAM
I myself have alot of problems with this release. I've followed the .nfo and im at the step where i should install the game. Problem is that i just wont run, the files are on the mounted image but nothing happens, they are all 0kb.
I do not have OS standard drivers for my IDE controller, can that be the problem?
Man o Man this was complete bitch to get to work. Followed numerous setup guides to no avail. Finally sussed it though what an absolutely georgous game!
Some of those stilll having probs may well have the issue i had. Seems some of these releases have a bugged(best term) sfcure.rar i know for a fact that at least 2 i downloaded were missing 1 or another file. However after getting a proper version it worked like a charm.
My suggestion to those having probs with this is redownload an x3 release but stop all files except the tools.rar or sfcure.rar and try a different one.
Hope this helps those that had the same probs as me. And btw i didnt use sfnightmare nor virtual cd hide either.
!: Command prompt goto dir (i.e. f: (enter) cd sfcure (enter)) with sfcure type !setup
2: Mount with alc with encryption on install.
3: Update to 1.2 get a command prompt and goto the dir with the protect.exe and type protect.exe /drv:remove reboot
4: After rebooting command prompt goto sfcure dir type !start then !run
then try game if u reboot do 4 again
1 reason maybe a windows update patch because i reinstalled xp from scratch but didnt update windows at all. Obviously cd/dvd is physically removed.
