Haven't seen Boyhood, but our of these on the list, Edge of Tomorrow would be much higher. I enjoyed it immensely.

It's been a shit year for movies for like the last decade (at the very least) sadly. Seeing how a top list includes so many "blockbusters" says a lot of the serious decrease in quality in the movie industry.

Next year should be A LOT better. Inherent Vice, Winter Sleep, Foxcatcher and Birdman in the first 2 months of the year I believe. There are movies coming out that are made by Malick, Coen Brothers, Wim Wenders, Woody Allen, another movie by Inarritu possibly, Ridley Scott and a few other good directors, genuinely excited. Very Happy

NVM; the Coen bros movie should be out in 2016 apparently..

I though The Fault in our Stars was quite mediocre. Had the potential to be a good tearjerker but something just didn't click for me. The Raid 2 had incredible fights (obviously), but I can't say I enjoyed it overall as a movie. I also didn't like X-Men nearly as much as everyone else seemed to, but I wasn't that big of a fan of any of the previous X-Men movies or X-Men in general so that might be the problem. The rest of the list is fine I guess, although I still need to watch How To Train Your Dragon 2 and Boyhood.

Should we all just watch indie, budget movies from Kazachstan? I'm watching movies for entertainment.

Hopefully you were joking

I'm curious about your top ten.

For 2014? It will probably be about the same with maybe 2-3 changes at most Wink

I would only keep 9 5 3 from that list.

Guardians of the Galaxy is on a different list.

Well movie lists... too much personal preference in that to agree with any list.

How to train your dragon, The Raid 2 wouldn't make it on my list since I don't care for these movies and while I don't think The Fault in our stars is a bad movie... it is rated higher than I would give it.

Hell, I'd most likely wouldn't agree with a list I'd make after an hour has passed.

I can't think of a single film released this year that really made me go "wow, this one goes in my top films of all time"

That's not to say I didn't enjoy any film released this year, but none of them really impressed me.

Having said that, I've yet to see Interstellar.

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Perhaps because it was a shitty girl flick with unrealistic characters and failed attempts at making you feel moved? That movie is a pile of horse shit. Of course, considering it's popular with tweens should tell you plenty ... *cough* Twilight *cough*.
