zinjie finally got his missing raid gear along with helmet for a full set and zeely also got a helmet for a full set. We are now officially all 30, and just in time for the new content

yea guys i ll definitely wait till the weekend for the raid with you, definitely not gonna ruin myself the experience with a pug .
i guess i ll do the story missions and strikes during the week.

Thanks for the offer but I'm working on Sunday. I really hope Bungie will integrate matchmaking into the raids. I might have even done the Vault of Glass by now!

It's preferable that you don't run the raid beforehand, fresh start with the whole group.
If your a lvl 29, check out the new legendary gear at the vanguard and/or crucible quartermaster. One or two new pieces of gear should push you to lvl 30.
Well Im a bit disappointed that I paid £20 for a The Dark Below. I felt like I got £10 worth after playing the 3 new missions plus the strike. The first mission was disappointing, the second two were decent as that actually included new areas and the strike was pretty good actually. Also I really enjoyed the Undying Mind mission. Got one new weapon so far which is Murmur, a pretty cool fusion rifle. Does everyone get that for completing The Dark Below or was it a random drop? God knows if and when Ill ever get round to the raid. They need to make the raids available for matchmaking! Seemed odd having new content but no new Dinklage speech.
Thanos said he will be there, and after talking to my wife about her plans this weekend... I just might... and that's a BIG might be able to make it... however I have run through some of the raid content already (the first two parts).... but I will not spoil anything, unless you guys are very stuck and want me to
