The story itself is good to great, but the presentation is superb IMO. I've seen some excellent scenes, brilliant. While playing this game, I keep thinking whether ME4 will have presentation at this level. Would be awesome.

Cassandra's Guilty Pleasure had me genuinely laughing. There's a lot of really nice touches in the game and the believable characters and great VA is selling it for me.

You can also overhear random NPCs discussing strange events happening around Skyhold, which you can talk to Cole over and if you heard even more he will explain why. I really like that touch Smile

oh yeah, it's funny cause it's kinda retarded at first what he did, but if you find the story "thread" around Skyhold it forms a narrative that makes sense Razz like the stealing of mint and cheese, that makes the cats play, which in turn makes the cook smile, so she stops being moody with the other servants in the kitchen Very Happy

You do know that Sixth Sense is not the first movie that has this turn of events, right? Wink

Anyways, yeah, it's a nice touch.

Um, what other film is about a ghost that doesn't know he's a ghost and still goes about his life as normal? Neutral

I am getting a lot of CTDs when loading the Mire for some reason. The game has been really stable otherwise, with no real issues, but it crashed around 5 times now when I either attempted to travel to the Mire or load a save that in that location.

Also, found a nice addition to my party... seemed pleasant enough:

Well I meant

plot though. Sadly this line alone kinda ruins the film (see below) coz it's (obviously) a major spoiler. However, I'd say that even knowing (to a certain extent) what happened won't completely ruin it coz of the atmosphere, actors' talent, dialogues etc. So if you haven't seen this film, don't read the spoiler and just watch it pronto Wink

I'm talking about a brilliant film starring Roman Polanski and Gerard Depardieu (a fantastic duo & outstanding actors work here) directed by Giuseppe Tornatore.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110917/

One of my all time favorites. Me Gusta

I might be tripping Very Happy but I've got the impression that loading times are considerably shorter if you have ALL overlays (afterburner, fraps, origin and stuff like that) disabled from the get-go. It's like 1.5-2x faster than when I have ,say, afterburner running.

What’s happening with the next patch?

Work continues on Patch 4, which should bring improvements to the framerate as well as additional fixes. We’re still testing some fixes in Patch 4, so we’ll have a more detailed preview next week.

PS A rift's mage Veilstrike can be used instead of a warrior's bash

Actually it can destroy everything that is tagged as "destructible" like for instance small stone columns where you fight a dragon in The Western Approach

Check it out lol

I destroyed wooden planks from the other side casting my veilstrike (there was no "bash" sign) Apparently I was "supposed" to bash it from inside the tunnel Very Happy

Yesterday I've spent three hours in Skyhold dicking around. Now that is a fortress for an inquisition Very Happy I've played 28 hours and apparently I'm not even close to the halfway point. I'm a slow player, but I didn't even take the time to read most of the codex entries. Some of the best 32 euros I've spent. Huuuuuge bang for buck this game

Companions are also becoming great btw, only Blackwall is boring at this point. I'm even starting to like Bull!

I've been playing for 43 hours so far and I still haven't acquired Bull yet. For some reason I've been putting off going to Sword Coast, as well as Emerald Graves and Hissing Wastes. So many areas I haven't even explored yet Very Happy

I just plugged in a pad and holy shit, it's like night and day. I can't believe how horrible that plays with kb&m, it is the first time I actually feel it plays a lot better on a pad...

I think it's the worst port of a game I've seen yet when it comes to controls.

I also started a new game because magic is pretty bad in this game, not engaging at all like it was in Origins (truly the best magic system in a game apart from BG2), I switched to the DW Rogue as someone said here before, we'll see how it goes.

Since i don't have a SSD yet Crying or Very sad , i noticed the same. I think the 60+ fps shortcut fucks up the loading times. But i can't tell for sure yet because im too busy playing it.

On another note. I was trying MP yesterday with a friend and it was not bad. Hope they will add more maps and stuff.

Loading times are *significantly* faster on SSD, in order of magnitudes really, 5-10x faster at worst ... BUT! there are loading times that are also tied to framerate, the normal loading screen framerates are 200fps. If you use Afterburner or whatever to limit overall framerate to 60, loading times suffer quite a bit in my experience.

Yup, it was like that for me too, before I symlinked the game across to my SSD. It's only 24GB so doesn't really impact the drive all that much. Getting an SSD is one of the greatest and more visibly beneficial upgrades you can do for your comp.. I'm pissed that it took me so long to do it Very Happy
