Spoiler: | My guess is it does not change the outcome, but you're still sent to the Wall even if you spare the Bolton's soldier at the farm? You still kill one of them so its probably same. |

Spoiler: | Of course nothing matters. This is a Telltale game. If you could change anything, that would mean a lot more dialogue, more animations for the separate branch, and that means more costs to develop. Unacceptable! Main stuff can never be changed, that's why I realized when Ramsay comes to visit, that the little lordling is fucked no matter what you choose. |

The shitty pixeliness you observe is their implementaion of the "depth of field" effect. Took me a while before I realized it.

You mean voices?
All of the recent Telltale games only have english voices, IIRC

Without cel shading the graphics look total shit. goddamn i didn't realize telltale can make a game which looks like it's from 2005.
Btw the animations in this game is the worst. I guess they rushed while they're developing it.

Really wish they didn't tie it in too much with established characters from the source material because source material armor.
I literally knew the only way to get out without trouble is to attempt to murder them at the gates but nope.
Visuals suck, but that's due to the depth of field as noted above I guess. Had fun, but I need my Tales From the Borderlands episode 2 to get rid of the grim taste in my mouth.

So if i get this correctly, the only choices that matter are when you get choices such as who to save etc?

If it's a minor character whose survival can be later commented with a single line "It's good/bad that he is still/already alive/dead", then yes, you can have your little choice.
If it's a main plot that result for example in burning a village, then no, because two separate branches would mean too much work for the animators, writers and voice actors.
So let's say an evil guy comes to burn a village. You can either fight him, he kicks you in the balls, laughs at you, and burns the village. Later, the surviving girl will tell you that you are very brave, and that nothing more could be done. Or you decide you won't interfere, and watch the very same scene of village burning, only the little girl will tell you are an asshole. But in the moment you decide, it all seems very dramatic.
Telltale games are just like Christmas - it's magical, until you realize there is no Santa.

well, game is good so far. it leaves me on teh edge all the time, never know when u have to decide something..
dat way they try to hide teh antialiasing, hahaha. using an Xplode shader on the edges to cover it..
well, it looks interesting, and might be a good technique for these kinda games, it certanly fits teh game of thrones game....

After playing this, I'm beginning to hate Telltale. It's turned into a money making machine, re-using the same old shit with a different skin. It's becoming worse than Ubisoft with AC and FC, atleast Ubi delivers massive gameplay each time.
They're very good as business men though, tie in big license and poop out 'games'. I play them, but I'd never pay a dollar for their games anymore (I bought TWD S1).

Oh I like the games, they're enjoyable. I just don't like how every one of them is basically the same, that each ep in a season gets shorter and that the use of big licenses is a cheap way to sell games in this manner. I could name a dozen more things, like how shitty their shit engine is, but the things I mentioned are what really bother me.

the game is a good expansion of the tv show but lacks dialogue material, not as rich and you can clearly see it with the original characters
