about 33-34 euros at the typical keystores. nuuvem about 30 euros too, but in the end a bit more due to paypal conversion etc. gold edition with season pass included is about ~40 euros at nuuvem

Limited Edition is practically a pre-order edition which include a bonus car or two. Depends really on the retailer.
Gold Edition is the basic game with Season Pass.

Exactly. I also miss the days when a company would decide to bring forth an expansion that extended the story of the main game, added new characters, new quests, new items, improved more or less the gameplay, tinkered up the graphics or the game's presentation in a positive direction and all that for 20-30 bucks. Now for that amount of money you get a few skins, a few meaningless missions, and a few new areas. Well, it's generally the customers' fault. They decided to support such a business model and that's why it thrives now...

Why?
Just buy it if you are going to (I'd advise informing yourself on forums/twitch to see how the state of the game is on release before you do). Nuuvem rocks, been using them for a while. They also include it by text when a title is region locked (ofcourse always check it yourself to mild your paranoia senses).

It's true that it's currently the only "decent" online racing game with lots of tuning featues, but I'll wait and see what you guys think about the game after a couple days.

It's not even about sim handling, the handling was bad even for an arcade racer. If a truck simulator has a better handling in arcade mode than a game all about 'racing'... eh 
I hope they have improved upon it, but we all know that doesn't happen in the industry. This game has open world going for itself, just a shame that the missions/story are as mediocre as a fast and furious movie and quite as generic and that the handling is rather bad.
It's less noticeable when you just cruise, but take a stop at the first circuit and do a few laps. I'd kick anyone in the balls saying that the handling isn't that bad. Hell Ridge Racer Unbounded was slightly better in that regard.
And that is the big problem... a lot of things are still done well and add fun, but in the end it's a driving game. That part should have been priority. |
