well don't then, i wasn't addressing to you in the first place

again not everyone has death star to power this unoptimized turd, that's why fxaa makes no difference in your case

I dont notice much difference with fxaa and no aa but the more I played the bigger difference I see between 1.2 and 1.3. In new patch there is signifantly more fps drops in certain places full of npcs, also in 1.2 I had occasional 5 seconds game locks, in 1.3 it happens more often. Am I the only one that noticed even shitter performance after new patch ?

Nope, i also got shittier performance after installing 1.3, about 3-4 fps lower overall. I also got a couple of 5 second game locks too. Oh well, im playing Far Cry 4 instead anyways Smile

This game just acts different for me i guess.
I didn't got performance drop with patch 1.3.0 not only that i got visual improvement. Laughing
Now with Low textures the game looks same as it was looking when i was using High textures and fps is still stable (except when i fast travel in city, specially to collect cafe money then i get slutter fest)

Aww Yeah It still stands though.

I really don't have a damn clue why its doing this....
If i start the game from the south-west districts it runs super good.
Really rare drops under 40 fps even in Notre Dame area.

If i instead load the game from Notre Dame area, La Bastille area or Assassin's HQ area and it lags like hell in entire city.
Most of the cases it still gets 40 fps but constant drops to 20 fps in every 3-4 seconds.
Same with fast-travel.

I hope some of the next patches fixes those or at least fast-travel.
I'm getting SSD soon so when i move it there it might help too.

I really miss Brotherhood elements in this , menaging other assassins, calling the to drop on enemy from rooftoops etc. It would be perfect for big Paris.

Also Im on sequence 7 and for now storyline doesnt seem anything special at all, also question to people that finished the game, would there be some kind of "story side quests" with different characters than main story ones cause for now it seems really limited or maybe Ubi treats all those assassination mission like story side quests ? For now its like im collecting chests, assasinating for hour or two then I do one story mission and back to grinding, it just feels something is missing...

The Paris Stories sidemissions (assassin logo on the map) are quite fun, and there are some historical characters there as well.

I've tried it with the new patch, it still does not scale. Is something wrong with the engine or are AMD users just fucked? Most of the settings make absolutely no difference, it's like they don't work. I think I see a very small difference visually, but that's it. fps doesn't move much though, 3-4 fps difference at best between graphical settings Sad

You mean missions like with Crimson Rose or the guy in woman dress ? I was considering them just "Assasination missions" what I had in mind are side missions with cutscenes etc.

I have looked at the performance characteristics of ACU, and it allocates stable 2,5GB of memory, with heavy I/O activity, which means it's probably a 32bit binary unable to allocate more memory.

What a fail, creating a game using multi-GB texture assets and then failing to upgrade the engine so that it is able to take advantage of the available RAM.

The task manager clearly tells you if an app is 32-bit or not.

Yes, you are right, according to the task manager it's not a 32 bit application, but it still fails to allocate the remaining free memory. Maybe rudiments from previous versions of the engine that had to mind the 4G limit?

Anyway, after moving the game to my SATA3 SSD, the occasional stutters and freezes lasting several seconds are gone, and the performance is very stable overall.

Well, it's consistent with this article:

http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/assassins-creed-unity-graphics-and-performance-guide

Older cards just do not have the necessary throughput. Low textures are actually recommended for your card.

That table is for 30fps next-gen experience? I'm getting only 30-40 fps on 970. Ultra setting, 2xMSAA and PCSS turned off.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

article made by nvidia to sell new nvidia cards, nope nothing to see here Laughing

770 only 10fps slower than 970 in crysis 3, hardly old

problem is he probably has 2gb versions and sli aint working right, this turd requires 4gb to run smoothly, with occasional lag Razz

Phenom II X4 945 3.0ghz, 8GB RAM and Radeon HD 6850 1GB

I get 15-20fps with all settings on LOW (including v-sync and ambient occlusion off)

game is heavy as hell. This machine could run Black Flag at medium settings at constant 30fps.
