Again, "performance testers" have no knowledge of what is responsible for their HW locks. Either way, I want concrete numbers on how this works (how many installs, what hardware changes have an impact and how long it's supposed to last).

And why would I trust performance impact numbers from devs who released a game that was outright broken and still performs like shit? Especially if I don't have a proper source or context for what they said? For all I know it was a rough guesstimate by people who simply have no clue and then the news spread as fact like it always does.

Hey man, I spent 116 hours. Took my time in some areas, and others I rushed a bit more. I spent time collecting shards because I felt they were significant, and that can take a while but it wasn't tedious. I didn't read all the lore/codexes of course, and some conversations I knew where it was headed I skipped, for example when I read subs faster than the dialogue was spoken by the actors.

I feel it was good value (Mexico store) compared to other games I've bought recently. Its like you do want to play it again sometime, which for me was the same with Orignis (I played Origins back to back 3 times, the third on Nightmare).

I think some of those hours are multiplayer, though not many.

Remember it also depends on what difficulty level you are on, and which areas you go to first, because some areas are naturally harder simply because you might be under-leveled. You can try them, because the loot is also around the level of the enemies there, but often it is better to go somewhere where combat is more managable and you fight faster/gain more xp quicker, and then return to the areas you found higher level mobs.

Advice: If you like a better progression of story, don't focus on doing main story stuff, you get a bit more context and better pacing if you do side-content. If I had rushed through the story I think it would have been a fair bit shorter and less enjoyable. The story will not progress unless you want it to, which I liked. So you can do whatever, and then go do the main missions when you feel like progressing it aka. tired of doing side content hehe.

Some of the side-content can be interesting though not always very rewarding.

Yes, the quest you are thinking of is in the Hinterlands.

I recommend this game if you've played Origins, if only to act as Dragon Age 2 didn't exist

Given that Inquisition is a direct sequel to DA2 in both plot and gameplay, I'm not sure how that works. It really has very little in common with Origins in either aspect.

And all it took was 13 potions it seems.

I finished it yesterday. Took me 109 hours to do pretty much everything: main quest, kill all the dragons, do all the War Table missions, explore all the areas, although there were still a couple of side-quests unfinished (collect mosaic pieces and the like).

It is more of a sequel than DA2 was is my meaning, in that it manages to deliver a game that isn't cringe (hence I did not romance anyone in my playthrough) and full of carbon copied content like the dungeons. Yes, there are Dragon Age 2 references, and yes there are Dragon Age 2 lore and characters, but it doesn't define the game. These parts, the plot and everything could have been integrated as lore through just writers adding backstory and premise and that it was not established through DA2.

If you know nothing about DA2, it still isn't tough to go with the flow and still be fine. You get a lot of information by talking to NPCs and just playing.

If you know nothing about Dragon Age there will be quite a bit you miss out on in terms of jokes and references.

Some aspects though are just very basic medieval fantasy renamed for the universe which is easy to get.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Thanks, but I've already checked it. From what little comparison of ingame locations I did and the research on the forums, the consensus is that the guide map doesn't list all of the pieces, and the ones that it does list are a bit off.

they already responded to accusations in FAQ. what else can they reveal? whatever they say people like you claim it's not true anyway. so it's kinda pointless.

What performance tests, exactly? Was there a denuvo game that was cracked to test if the game performance is better without it?
