And ok sorry I didnt read carefully enough, this lock dissapears after some time probably around 24 hours but after that 1 day period they launched it again ONCE and it locked again.
ALSO minimum and recommended req are a FUCKING LIE
Minimum 4 core AMD 2.5Ghz/Intel 2.0Ghz 4870/8800 GT and recommended 6 core AMD 3.2Ghz or 4 core Intel 3.0 Ghz and in REALITY you get:
Below 50 fps on average with i7 3960x 4.5Ghz and 680 gtx/270 and even better around 35 fps with 660 gtx from recommended and its only in 1920x1080 MEDIUM, low tesselation, ssao and NO AA with a fucking CPU way above recommended.
i5 6600 + Silentiumpc Spartan Pro, Asus H170-plus mobo, HyperX 16 GB DDR4 2133MHz, Asus GTX 970 Strix OC, 1TB Seagate Barracuda, BeQuiet L8 500W, Zalman Z9 case, crap monitor

You need to make sure you spec him early on with abilities that generate guard, don't put all his points in the 2H tree. Even wearing the best heavy armour, you will be killed in seconds without guard (and barrier). War Cry is a good one to aim for, as it is an AoE taunt, so it will bunch up enemies for you to smash with Whirlwind, Earthshaking Strike, and Mighty Blow.
My Inquisitor is a 2H warrior. I always have either Cassandra or Blackwall in the party as a tank (plus Varric and a mage). My general strategy is to point the tank at the closest melee enemy (or boss types) and then smash my Inq into any mages or archers lurking in the back with Charging Bull, using Grappling Chain on any stragglers, then hit them with a War Cry and/or Unbowed if needed to generate guard, then weigh in with Whirlwind/Earthshaking Strike/Mighty Blow as appropriate. Works extremely well if you can line them all up in a row. When tackling massive HP sponges, like Pride demons and the like, the key is to keep the 2H attacking from the flank/rear, and try to keep the focus on the tank with taunts. If you have enough room on your hotkey bar (the 8 ability limit is bullshit), Combat Roll can be very useful for getting out of trouble if the tank loses aggro. Especially against dragons and the like, where guard can get stripped quickly and mobility is key.

Second proof of fail trash DRM, another guy testing the game performance was fucked while changing video cards
Best part:
"After nearly losing it, I took the SSD out of my office PC, where Dragon Age has been functional all along, and stuck it in a test system. Naturally, I received the same error so I placed the SSD back in my office PC. This broke my game entirely and now all my computers were failing to connect."

Best part? more like most retarded thing i read all week. who the fuck takes out a drive where something is installed, puts in another system and expects everything to work flawless. 90% of the time in situation like this you'll run into some problems because registry entries are missing or some redistributable isn't installed.
sounds more like this particular reviewer is a big retard, and not a problem with DRM. for example Guru3D also did DA:I tests, much more in depth, and they didn't run into any problems.

Haven't played the game yet, and Joe has a tendency to spoil stuff, especially when it's something he dislikes/hates. So i'll hold off until i get around to play it myself.

Erm, you DO realize that Windows 8 is designed in such a way that you CAN take out your drive and stuff it in another computer? In fact, after the laptop of a friend died I had to do exactly that and it worked perfectly. Except for the laptop-specific software, Windows didn't even give a single warning when booting and simply installed all that was needed in the background.
Besides, that reviewer wanted to test the limits of the protection to see what it actually does and the fact that the game gets "hardlocked" when it finds hardware changes is important news.

So what's the lowdown on the 'optimal' playable settings for this? You guys running everything whacked up or what?

@scaramonga
I have everything maxed at 1920x1200 except for
1) msaa- disabled
2) shadows- low
If "optimal" means running at rock solid 60 fps then these settings are most certainly not "optimal" for my rig
In some Hinterlands areas (Redcliffe) I get like 35-50fps Generally fps is all over the place. From 35 to 90+. It depends on the area and what I see on my screen.

Go to stables and select your mount.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
