Im gonna buy it but to confirm you can use the version changer or do you have to actually update?
Tobycoaster, how is the game? As the first one to play it and indeed have the original, can you provide a mini review please?
May the NFOrce be with you always.

No, my US copy requires 2.00 and has the 2.00 updater on the UMD. Seems the Euro version is exactly the same.

also i forgot to point out that my psp is a jap model , so the rumours about region locks are untrue , atleast for the jap ones , not sure about us psps
and jsut to say , the game is awsome , runs a treat , loading times are not to bad the radios are cool as ever . controls are easy to deal with and the bikes are easier to control then in VC & SA and u dont seem to come off the bike as easy as b4. i havent tried the multiplayer yet but will be when it comes out officially tommorow
so all in all a highly enjoyable game
Graphics = 10
Gameplay = 10
Lifespan = Ill let ya know

yer i find it frustrating having to hold L to move the camera , but aside from that i gotta hand it to rockstar , i am a big GTA fan that was a bit miffed with SA but this has renewed my faith in the GTA games
cant wait to try the multiplayer , allways thought GTA should have a multiplayer in it ( allthough SA had some multi player elements , but not REAL multiplayer) is gonna rock on wi-fi , gonna be in the shop tommorow morning , me and my m8 are gonna get as many customers to boot up and play there and then

Well a suspicion on the delay was set because we thought they changed the required firmware version...

Ive heard it was delayed becasue of marketing. Becasue if they released it to early they would have to include the sales results in this fiscal quarter, or some BS like that. I saw this on CNBC. It also has to do with increasing PSP sales. Im not a market analyst so i cant really explain why, and i forget everything they said on CNBC.
I cant see how they would delay it because of firmware changes, becasue i can almost garantee that they would have all ready been pressed from the inital release.
Has anyone used the updater included with GTA then tried to downgrade?

Ive used the updater included with GTA but not attempted to downgrade yet! I may do it later. I suspect those who havent upgraded and know of this alleged rumour wont be risking it until they know for sure!

I noticed it on PSPUpdates forum, people saying they upgraded using the update on the GTA UMD and then when they tried to downgrade back to 1.50 it wouldnt let them, also it said "Note: to upgrade to 2.00 we strongly suggest that you use our tutorial to upgrade instead of using a UMD or network update, as we are sure that you will be able to downgrade back to 1.50 using our method" on the Front page of pspupdates.com
