I tried...!

- Senator comes into power in 2004 with US$20,000, currently has over $US300 millions on a monthly salary of US$6,000. Top prosecutor went after him, all the evidence, all conections, everything. Case dismissed.

- One of the big banks here has been disolved, executives ran away from the country, and it seems that people will lose all their savings. Government waited 4 years to investigate accusations of money laundering tipped by a Venezuelan press editor. Too late now eh?

- Police car ran a red light, crashes into a car, crashes into a mother and son, son has his leg severed, police come out saying the kid is a thief, guns pointed at the mom, prohibited her of helping his son. The kid only made it to the hospital because civilians faced the police. Theres a video of the mom carrying the whole fucking leg of the kid.... Mother is a judge and the kid was a baseball prospect to major league it seems.

- New law obligates public goverment officials to declare all their belongings etc, if not, they have to be fired and can be trialed with up to 10 years. Final Due date? Yesterday, today 90% of the officials havent presented declarations. Noone has said anything.

This has been a shitty week for this country. Still, noone cares.

I know that it won't help your anger Lopin, but at least 3 of those 4 disgraces have already happened or are happening here as well as we speak. Sad Laughing

Especially the second one, I directly experienced something very similar (I "only" worked there, and no savings were involved thankfully), but still :<

That has happened twice here. A lot of people didnt get their money back. This time looks the same. What pisses me off is that theres talk about officials knowing of who the bankers were and they covered the problems inside the bank. Now it blows up and people will lose their money.

Yeah, it's a really bad situation, with no escape in my opinion. To the point that nobody can protect people anymore, they're virtually naked in terms of rights, and illegality has become essential part of the system. It's beyond repair, only a low level format can fix this Razz
