I will probably pick this one up as well. I'm just going to wait to ensure that it's playable on my ancient system.

run well on gtx660, 280x about same as gtx770, so you should be set, unless ubi will be dicks and optimize it as good as ACU

Most of us that bought this played the beta and know what they are getting. If something doesn't work at launch, it will be patched soon enough. So criticizing on valid things is considered hating now? Jeezes people these days really can't take criticism.
I have warned people to wait till release to make sure the issues are fixed. All based on their beta's which I've played a good amount of.
Then moments later two people go ahead and pre-order. So my comment was on them: IF it turns out they didn't fix it, I'm willing to bet that they wouldn't show their faces.
You can do whatever you want, it is your choice... But to me, it sounds very silly when someone advices you and a moment later you do the opposite. I just don't see a reason to pre-order this...especially not when (unlike you, when you pre-ordered): they don't know it runs well on their system and when you don't even know for sure you'll like the game. Like I said: not like the keys will run out and there are signs of it being mishandled.
Furthermore I find it quite depressing that so many people are so defensive of their games. I'm not telling you to not like it. I just want people to recognize the flaws and possible problems instead of being blind to it like you see so much these days. Especially how much PR/hype they are throwing out on this thing.
If I was 'Hating' (most over used and badly used word on the internet since the past years) I sure as hell wouldn't tell what I liked about it or answer questions how well it ran on my outdated hardware ( which holds up if you're not mysteriously hit with the usual Ubi bug stick).
Edit: And actually... maybe look back on all the posts I made on this game. If you'd still want to call me a 'hater' then. Well... guess I'll be the one disappointed then.

It's always handy to not judge by your own experiences alone. I had no problems with this game (other than crashes that was because of their shoddy network), but some people were having a real bad time. Same with watch dogs for instance. A lot of people were complaining how it ran, while on my outdated PC I didn't have much problems.
I'm not saying it's in the realm of AC:U... but there were enough problems for people for me to say: wait it out on release day. If people experienced the beta and they had no problems then fine, otherwise: be on the safe side. |

you have to take in to consideration that most people dunno wtf is going on in their pc's, thus they better go with console solution
and yeah always online drm will never bring anything good, expect savegames disappearing or you progress not being saved, especially when game has REAL SP, now i wish it just had denuvo

No that consideration is something for the developers. Or are we always going to defend the flaws of developers?
If they ever want gaming on PC to be successful they need to make sure that 'derps' can just play right away without having too much knowledge and without the sacrificing of knowledgeable persons being able to tweak.
