It's a pretty worrying thing that devs are increasingly happy with 20fps. I mean, if the hardware can't handle something I'd rather they left it out.

like every one said , this game has fucked up LOD that's broken and they pushed to many people on the screen ... Dead Rising 3 same thing 20fps on XBOX ONE ... after theirs 13 gig patch they lowered those zombies to a reasonable rate making it stable 30fps

Yeah, the frame rate is affected by many variables, I just don't understand why 20fps is deemed acceptable.
30fps is ok.

eurogamer review tbh. The framerate comment is based on a lot of recent games really.

I had a chance to buy this off someone for $40 free shipping for PS4, but after all the problems I'm going to wait til it's less than $20.

Patch is only for PS4 and PC..
Quote:
Ubisoft just released the 1.02 patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity, and below you can check out the full changelog for both PS4 and PC.
PS4:
Fixed an issue where under some circumstances, Arno can fall through ground when free running on various props or when dropping down on to an NPC.
Fixed an issue where it is possible for Arno to get stuck in a hay cart next to the Pantheon in the Bièvre district.
Fixed an issue that may cause a game crash when joining the co-op session of another player who has a specific single player and side missions progression.
Note that even with this patch, players may still experience
Most framerate issues that have been reported since the release of the game
Performance issues
PC:
Fixed an issue where under some circumstances, Arno can fall through ground when free running on various props or when dropping down on to an NPC.
Fixed an issue where it is possible for Arno to get stuck in a hay cart next to the Pantheon in the Bièvre district.
Fixed an issue that may cause a game crash when joining the co-op session of another player who has a specific single player and side missions progression.
Improved performance in cinematic on low HW configurations
Fixed various flickering issues on nVidia SLI and AMD CrossFire configurations
Fixed various Graphic issues
Fixed light artifacts in PCSS shadows
Fixed problem with refresh rate on a first game launch.
Fixed various Input issues
Other keyboard/mouse fixes in several menu pages.
Fixed issues with “Invite to game” option when it was becoming unavailable after host migration, when it was active for all recent players instead of only for friends
Fixed issues with Helix Credits
Note that even with this patch, players may still experience
Most framerate issues that have been reported since the release of the game
Performance issues
Ubisoft also released an update on the work being done on fixing the performance issues affecting pretty much all platforms:
As previously reported on the Assassin’s Creed Live Updates Blog, our team is furiously working to resolve bugs and performance issues for Assassin’s Creed Unity on all platforms. On PC, some media outlets have misinterpreted a forum post indicating that we were working on resolving issues that were AMD-specific. We apologize for any confusion and want to be clear that we are working with all of our hardware partners to address known issues that exist across various PC configurations. We care deeply about a smooth and enjoyable Assassin’s Creed experience and we will continue to update customers as these issues are fixed via the AC Live Updates Blog.
While reports on social media seem to indicate that the patch improved frame rates (but that’s definitely difficult to gauge with the naked eye), Ubisoft appears to think that more work is due there. The publisher also released a known issues list, where you can check out what’s still to be done and what has been already solved on all platforms.

Quote: | Preview of Patch 3
With Patch 2 live for PS4 and PC—and, as of this writing, with the Xbox One version in the pipeline—we want to start sharing a bit about what we're working on for the next major update, Patch 3. As compared to the previous patch, Patch 3 is going to be larger in scope, addressing a number of bugs in the areas where you’re telling us you're having the most problems.
The list of specific fixes is not yet final, but the categories that we’re focusing on include:
Gameplay: this includes bugs like Arno getting stuck on certain areas of the map (including a few more hay carts), problems with getting into/out of cover, character animation bugs, and general camera problems
AI & Crowd: in this category are problems with NPC animations, crowd events, and crowd stations, NPC navigation issues, as well as bugs related to NPCs detecting Arno’s activities in various situations
Matchmaking & Connectivity: this covers a number of issues related to co-op play, including bugs with joining games in-progress and problems that happen during host migration
Menus & HUD: fixes in this category will address missing details in certain menus, problems with some of the mission objective and co-op update pop-ups, localization inconsistencies, as well as some of the issues with menus and pop-ups overlapping each other
General Stability: this includes fixes for a number of crash situations we've identified in both campaign and co-op modes.
Again, while the ultimate list of fixes for Patch 3 isn’t finalized yet, it will be soon. Part of what we want to do at this point is balance the competing desires to get as much as we can into the patch with getting it out quickly. Once we’ve locked down exactly what will be in Patch 3, we will update you again with a more specific set of patch notes. This next patch won't solve every problem, but we're expecting that it will dramatically improve your experience.
We are also investigating various performance issues including framerate drops, and are looking into how we can address them. We’ll tell you more about our progress on that topic in the coming days.
Thanks again for your patience and your passion. Please continue to share your thoughts and feedback in the comments below and in the forums, and make sure you’re submitting your problems to our support site!

Dunno, ask KC, he surely knows about all these weird effects that can transform 20 fps to 60fps.

Just found this.
http://www.rtings.com/info/fake-refresh-rates-samsung-clear-motion-rate-vs-sony-motionflow-vs-lg-trumotion
My Samsung TV has CMR (Clear Motion Rate) which is apparently '400' and is the equivalent of 100hz.
I dont fully understand it but Im pretty sure my old Toshiba wasnt 100hz.
Also this

Quote: | The H6400 is, unfortunately, not the best screen for gaming. There are a few more-suitable competitors if this is what you're looking for. As usual, Samsung's "Game" mode is difficult to find. To turn it on, you'll need to go into "Setup", then "General". And, unlike Sony and Panasonic, who offer a game mode with faithful colours, Samsung's is limited to standard mode, so colours are too bright. Again, just like the F6400, the H6400 suffers from an input lag of 42 ms, which is too high for any die-hard gamers. For anyone else, the lag isn't really noticeable. |

Quote: | In Game mode, lag is relatively small, making this a good choice for gamers - and who wouldn't want to experience their favourite games on such a huge screen? |
The discovery of a game mode might improve things. Ill test it out with Assassin's Creed Unity and see if I can get the thread back on topic. Sorry about that!

Also, the fact that your screen is bigger probably means you will be more perceptible to graphics variables like frame rate and resolution.

clear-true-motion crap only works if you have stable 30-60 or wtv fps, if it spikes in between 20-25 or 25-32 prepare to have some headaches after an hour or two
works good with movies tho, if you enjoy judder
