WarMachine: Tactics is a turn-based, squad-level strategy game featuring a single-player campaign and feature synchronous and asynchronous online multi-player play.
Warmachine: Tactics will include a single-player campaign and feature synchronous and asynchronous online multi-player play. The game will launch with two playable factions—Cygnar and Khador. A stretch goal for the Kickstarter campaign, if met, would add Cryx and the Protectorate of Menoth to the game’s launch. Warmachine: Tactics will also be expanded with downloadable content.
Privateer Press Interactive’s partner in the project, WhiteMoon Dreams, boasts a veteran team of game developers who have worked on blockbuster titles including the Fallout series, Descent, Ratchet & Clank, Medal of Honor, Command & Conquer, and many others.
“Privateer Press and WhiteMoon Dreams both have a burning desire to bring a Warmachine video game to life,” said Matt Wilson, founder and chief creative officer of Privateer Press, “so we’ve joined forces to Kickstart Warmachine: Tactics and give the people for whom we’re making the game the power to make it a reality.” Jay Koottarappallil, WhiteMoon Dreams’ CEO, is determined to make Warmachine: Tactics a smashing success. “We are incredibly excited about this opportunity to connect with gamers, and we know they are going to love what we are planning,” he says. “They have been waiting very patiently and now with the power of Kickstarter we can bring this directly to them.”
Privateer Press Interactive will conduct the Kickstarter campaign, and will announce the start date for the Warmachine: Tactics crowd sourcing campaign soon.
Might be cool. Haven't played the table top verision but I've heard it isn't bad.

aww.. was kinda hoping for a turnbased ironman spin-off
but if turnbased squad tactical game is anything like xcom enemy unknown, then i definately want it. i loved xcom so much more than i expected to, and want more like it!
Other than the price I suppose, still the "Pirate access" version should be freely available.
(Yeah it's probably to be fair to the Kickstarter backers.)
EDIT: Hey don't split the units into a Deluxe Edition extra.
EDIT: Well like you said in your post, somehow I only saw the smiley icon.

“Early Access is currently priced to match our Kickstarter reward levels that included Beta access to the game. We have created a Deluxe Edition of the game that includes 20 additional units which will become available once the game completes Beta and the full version releases. After Early Access, a core game will be offered at a lower price that does not include the additional content of the Deluxe Edition.”
I don't think the "official" scene groups do alpha, beta and such pre-release version releases even if it's directly from the developers (Such as early-access.) instead of leaked or hacked content.
Thus why you instead have to use peer-2-peer groups or what it's called such as Ali213, 3DM or the community on Cs.Rin.Ru or WBB.
The game is not worth touching at the moment. The current beta build is multiplayer-focused with only one single player mission (tutorial) and there's a lot of units that have yet to be added in the game.
Boy, we talking about some BAD optimization here. Anyone else tried it, knows some settings that wouldn't make my eyes want to puke?

I got this in a Humble Bundle I believe and always thought it looks interesting but it was added to my long backlog of games. I will have to keep an eye out for that new single player campaign you linked though as that may finally get me to give it a try.
