Many games run like shit on high end PCs but they run on the consoles.

On paper I am supposed to run FC4 full blown, easy, on 1080p but in reality its not "exactly" like that Laughing

This is true of course but usually down to poor ports.... It seems like this particular version might actually be pretty good....

I would say based on a seemingly good effort for the ps4 version. So obviously Rockstar didnt just want to port it. Makes sense if they would do similar for the pc version, especially since the ps4 and pc are now closer to each other architecture wise (right?).

Running like shit is the default on consoles.

It's like GTA IV. It ran and looked like shit on consoles, but somehow that's better than it looking better while still running like shit(still better than the console versions, on my PC anyway) on PC.

Nah. Gta iv ran fine on 360. And even had 2xMsaa. played it on 360 few days ago and it still holds up great. Certainly better than the vanilla pc shit port. The ps3 version was fucked up

pc gta iv got better only now that gedosato can create antialiasing from 4k downsampling and that it runs stable 30fps Laughing

that way or another, gta iv was and is fantastic imo. And in many ways for me, it's superior to gta V. and ofc inferior in others. The amoung of detail in new port of gta V is astounding. waiting for pc version even tho I've finished it on 360 and not loved it too much

See? It indeed looks good and indeed much better than on ps3.
That framerate is a dream compared to gta V on 360 which feels terrible and there is even no motion blur to hide it


And those are some bad gta iv screenshots. The game still looks good and was mind blowing when it came out in 2008. It got all 10 scores for a reason back then
edit: Now it might look old but it still holds it's own in certain areas. It's not sleeping dogs tho Wink

I've said that gta IV was mind blowing back in the day and worked much better than it's ps3 counterpart and better than gtaV on the same platform. Sure it barely holds 30fps at times but gtaV is like 20fps most of time in the city.
