|
 |
Have tried everything! Google and all! I have an Asus A55BM-E Mobo with an AMD A6 7400K cpu.. I have updated, disabled, uninstalled drivers with no luck! The yellow exclamation mark stays in the device manager (Standard VGA Adapter). It says I have the best driver for it!! I also have an EVGA GTX 660 installed with up to date drivers. What gives? Any help would be great. Thank you

its the integrated gpu of your cpu (radeon r5). just install the amd drivers for that, or just ignore it since you dont use the onboard display outputs

I tried to disable it in the bios but it only has "AUTO" or "FORCE" WTF! Anyway I did what Janz said and it worked R5 drivers are now installed and it is gone. (THANKS)
A new problem has emerged....I have Mushkin 8GB memory installed and it says 8GB installed and only 6.94 usable!! Tried everything I know and it still says the same. I have re-seated, been in the 'misconfig' advanced options.....re-seated cpu......what next?

most likely its due to the integrated graphics unit of your cpu needs video ram (even though you dont use it). check the bios, its most likely set to 1024mb. just set it to the lowest value. dont know why you cant disable the igpu, dont have any experience with amd cpus since years, maybe its the cheap board, dunno. so as i said just set it to the lowest value,

rtfm? just have a look at onboard device config or sth like that. there should be a slot with something like "reserved memory for igpu"... as i said, i dont know about that board and cpu configuration.

only use screwholders where the board has holes (sorry dont know the english name). otherwise you might get a short circuit. but this isnt the case right now and would end in the psu shutting down and not some ram dont get recognized correctly. doenst matter if the uefi doesnt recognize the name of the second dimm, maybe you should unload the xmp profile and manual set the correct values. but that wouldnt change anything with the 1gb missing, cause thats definately from the igpu of your cpu. if the board has no option (maybe update the bios) to deactivate it or reduce the amount of reserved ram theres nothing you can do. and in the end i would say nether sims4 nor minecraft would need the missing 1gb of ram
