Wow 59/100 Laughing . A famous (critical) german site

They gave Dragon Age 1 90/100 and Dragon Age 2 70/100 which I kinda agree with.

But I still hope Inquisition isn't really that bad. Crying or Very sad

In the DAI review they complain amog other things about story and characters, the same things that are present in Skyrim. And Skyrim got 90/100 from them Very Happy Seems like typical clickbait review luring people with low score Smile

Even the drones don't say something like that. It was pretty much the one thing that united everyone on the forums, even the hardcore drones, in near-universal outcry. That ending was terrible. As i noticed, the reason most people(not all) doesn't like the ending, is because it wasn't a happy one with Shepard with his dog and GF walking in a park happily ("Where are my blue babiiees? Sad(( fuck you bioware Sad( "), and because of the non-existant plot holes (in EC).
I loved it, most people didn't. Period.

I would summarize the critics the german magazine wrote like this (not exactly a new opinion):
So the tendency to "casual gaming" and "overload with comfort functions" finally got the "Dragon Age", series, too. Half-automatic action-centered fighting system, no manual attribute point contribution, no change of weapons in fight, easy healing/resurrection-system, all sorts of generic simple-collect/kill-quests, a huge and very-nice-looking, but more or less life-less static world with NPCs not caring about what your character did and so on.
Everything designed to create biggest-possible mass-appeal for "possible buyers" in the tradition of recent Ubisoft design politics (adapted by EA, obviously) - if it makes sense in a classic "RPG", is not important.

That's been my feeling with the latest Bioware titles, imo ME2 and 3 isn't really rpg's at all.
That they have taken that into DA too is no surprise Sad

some of the negative points from that german review:

- weak script, lame story
- huge contradictions between narration and gameplay
- too few believable reactions from character
- no reactions at all regarding drawn weapons in towns, theft or fights
- own roles basically not playable
- only a very few towns/settlements with very little dynamic npc behaviour
- no weapon-switching in battles
- sterile menu and item design
- can hardly zoom out in pause mode
- very little tactical gameplay possible
- orders are often ignored
- death of characters or party in combat has no consequences
- bad dialogue
- many boring fetch quests
- some graphical clipping errors
- controls not properly optimized for pc
- incredibly dull exploration and mini-games

sounds awesome, thx biowere Laughing

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

The .dll file is definitely there. Tried various fixes like running vcredist_x64.exe again but nothing fixes it.

I hate Origin.

I imagine it's typical Frostbite stuff - MSAA, PPAA (in the form of FXAA) and built-in downsampling.

To be fair, the main point the telegraph mentioned was the lack of focus and huge amounts of quests (many of them your standard fetch quest) that distract from the main objectives and make the sense of urgency and imminent destruction disappear. This is a pretty common downside for many RPGs of that sort, so rating it so low does seem weird.

So far it kinda looks like "squad-based" Skyrim, looking at the reviews Very Happy

I was laughing more at the organised BDF effort that always springs up whenever a Bioware game is "attacked". They pulled the same shit when Dragon Age 2 was criticized.

Fake metacritic reviews etc etc. Several of them were found to be Bioware employees iirc.

Waiting to see how it runs on GTX770. From that earlier benchmark it got 25fps with 4xMsaa, if it runs that badly illl have to wait a couple years until I upgrade.

Perhaps wrong version of the DLL? Reinstall both version of redist clean, x32 and x64

I tried that, it doesn't help. Even did "Repair game" through Origin to check everything and that didn't help.

I've ran out of ideas to fix a stupid missing .dll error.

Possible solutions:
1) Run again Visual C++ installation
2) Copy the file to system 32 with admin rights
3) Copy the file inside the program folder

~48-60+ at 1920x1200 msaax2 everything maxed out. I'll need to test it more once I'm done with character creation.

I started a new game coz I wasn't happy with my character appearance. Why are there so few hairstyles? They all look fugly Evil or Very Mad

what is with people in this game having that plastic hair look... It looks pretty bad considering the rest of the graphics, played an hour or so earlier and wish they had put in the same mouse only functionality of DA-O.. KOTOR series and TOR, ya know the ability to click on ground and your toon moves there, or use both mice buttons to move straight, but I guess the wasd/strafe in this wouldn't work too well with that.
