i5 4Ghz, 8gig ram, 680GTX 4GB runs around 50-40-30 FPS with everything ultra except shadows and geometry on high (not very high).
And it loads the level with 2 seconds stops (on SSD) while driving.

So if not that different in terms of visuals, someone who played FC3 with most settings on high and 50-60 fps can count on achieving same results with FC4 and lower details ?

Lower details, yes. It *does* look better than FC3 and anyone saying otherwise is just being silly, and the sysreqs have gone up. It's pretty damned intense so hopefully the two missing updates can alleviate that somewhat.

Vegetation has UUUGE improvement over FC3. Even not on Ultra.
Too bad my 460GTX is struggling on 1080p@25ish fps.
720p is answer for me.
But that microstuttering while driving is a boner killer.

Tried the game, it's really nice!...All options on Ultra High or max possible settings...Got like others said the ambiant occlusion to SSAO or whatever that does not cause glitches. Also playing with my USB Ps3 controller no problem...No crashes starting the game...No problems with aiming or camera ...Basically apart from the obvious little bugs, map, blood etc..The game looks amazing!!..Running it between 50-90 fps..Can't wait to try it out with the patches coming next week....GTX Strix 970 here Very Happy

So far I'm getting a constant 60fps vsync'd. There's no microstuttering if you're vsync'd to refresh rate and the mouse is solid too. All settings maxed, except anti-aliasing on SMAA.

Just thought I'd throw in a fix there, because there most certainly is stuttering for me and a great many others judging by feedback Very Happy

To be fair, I think this needs repeating several times; this isn't the final copy of the game. It's simply not out yet and there are changelogs that show *two* rather hefty patches that are due to be implemented, which currently aren't in the retail/uplay preload build. I'm not defending Ubilol, their development "skills" often leave a lot to be desired, but let's not light the torches *just* yet. Let's at least wait for final launch and see then Very Happy

So removing the patch files fixes Map, Button Mappings and so on. No wonder though, old .exe and fresh Patches interfering. Game works like a charm to me, no reason to place the blame on them after Unity.

Do you have a controller plugged? If so, try unplugging.

I have tried EVERYTHING, even unplugged ALL USB, not a single background program running, driver rollback etc etc etc, NOTHING seems to help...
Only thing i didn't try was just replacing my nvidia by my amd gpu on the same rig..

Yes, works fine -- but really.. the best solution would be to wait for the 1.02 exe/dll, as the patch.dat is 1.3GB. It fixes a LOT. Dropping down to pure 1.0.0 would be meh, best wait for release.

Yup, I simply renamed patch.dat to 1patch.dat and likewise for the .fat file. Hopefully the uplay preload is compatible with any subsequent post-launch releases, that way I won't have to redownload Very Happy
