IGN Review 8.5/10

http://xbox.ign.com/articles/663/663654p1.html

I read somewhere there is support for upto 4 player splitscreen. No idea if its offline or online.

May the NFOrce be with you always.

From ign.com

this sequel follows the gritty realism and desperate comradery of the PC edition in an entirely different console game, with unique characters, gameplay and missions.

So yeah, it's a completley different game and therefor worth checking out in my opinion. Smile

Lol I see, I also saw that the original call of duty 2 is slated for 360. I usually hate arcade games, but I must say campaign missions are funny as hell, and im VERY impressed by the grapichs Smile

@killerklan

2 hours? jesus, it took me less then 25 minutes to get the game, 2 minutes after pre release.

@Nailbiter

Because people want to enjoy it on LIVE.. and check out the single player campaigns they are pretty nice.. in fact I actually like the arcade feeling.. I normally hate arcade/unrealstic games, see "battlefield/CS etc etc" BTW the grapichs are awesome too

I prefer games like Ghost Recon/Splinter Cell/Americas Army/Operation Flashpoint etc etc Smile Razz

I just tried this one and it's quite good, and I normally dont even like first person shooters on the console. There is alot of action going on right at the start, bombs falling all over the place and it all looks damn good for a console fps'er. And it will obviously look even better on the xbox, so graphic junkies shuld be pleased. Razz

eh?

Call of duty is an ARCADE game.. it's not a simulator and it doesn't feature any forms of realisim, joins the same genres as: Counter Strike, Half life, Doom, Halo, Rainbow six: lockdown (god i hate it) Battlefield etc etc

Example of arcade games: no realisim, players can jump around like monkeys, spawning, weapons that works like space guns, rambo style for evryone, Run n gun

Arcade games are exactly what the name implies. Games you would expect to find in an arcade. Call of duty is most definitely not one.

That depends on the way you look at it... im not talking about machines with slots resting in a bar/restaraunt etc etc, that's pretty obvious. Arcade doesn't just mean a slot machine, it's the way some games are ...or should I say "arcade" like feeling? That might sound better, hmmm Razz

dont like it.

the bloom effect that they have in all games nowadays is killing me. looks like shit.

boring missions so far. both levels and objectives are dull.

healthpacks? i thought the system they use in the pc game is working better.

get stuck on friendly soldiers from time to time.

maybe it gets better though. the first level promised good, but then its been downhill so far. im in afrika somewhere.

The stuck on friendly soldiers seems to be a common problem with all call of duty2 versions, it happened in the pc game too. It's very frustrating, and especially when the enemy throws a grenade at you. Very Happy

haha, yeah i went into a room full of nazis blazing my smg. when i had to reload one of my guys was blocking the door, so they killed me really easy. Crying or Very sad

also the checkpoint system feels a bit too far inbetween sometimes. or maybe its just that the game is kind of boring which makes me not want to replay the same thing again.
