This is actually the first expansion that I didn't queue up in line for the midnight release since 2004. This game has totally lost all appeal to me (the final nail in the coffin was MoP, played it for like a week). 
Too bad, it was a fun game.

Original timeline: Grom drank the blood, was cursed. Orcs became slaves.
At a later point in time, Grom and Thrall killed Mannoroth.

yeh, i know that. but where is thrall in that timeline ? or is a mistery ?

Can't say i'm impressed by the content at the start after going though the portal. Mobs died in 1-2 seconds flat, zone felt cramped, the big bosses in this zone felt out of place and the reveal was laughable, and only to look cool and badass. The panic and urgency to escape after they showed up also felt... Forced... All in all, i hope it improves later on.

I felt the intro after the portal was pretty nicely done. Khadgar felt like the badass he's supposed to be. The best experience will probably be in a few weeks when you're there with only a handful of people though. I was lucky I got through as one of the first and it was still pretty quiet. Mobs didn't die too quickly, but the char I went with first was only ilvl 518. If you go as a maxed heroic/mythic raider, of course things will be weak. How else would the non raiders get through normal mobs otherwise?
The area after the intro however, that was just stupid. 10 people per raven spawning area doing their AoE abilities to get the tag. Or the void portal closing, that took me like half an hour for 3 stupid mobs even while in a group. But that's launch..

Meh. They have said several times that they want to make leveling non trivial. They dont want you to grind to get to max level.
I wouldnt be suprise if level cap is going stay at level 100 next expansion. And just provide different type of rewards.

after 10 years they still havent fixed tagging ... shame on them , i am enjoying not having bought it and watching all the streamers struggle through this bothced launch
went through the dark portal 8 years ago without any hickups, heck even stood in line for the midnight release that time at a small local shop, my first and last time, holy fuck thank god for online stores, standing in line for a videogame for the first time made me realize how silly that actually was when i could sit at home warm and comfy with a hot drink .

I agree, when the game came out I endured it. But TBC,WOTLK an Cataclysm... I said: screw the first release days.
It sucks, since you want to play, but you don't want to play it like that really. |
