Don't worry, 4PM is just for the "Probe has landed" or "Probe has lamentably crashed" message

First pictures/videos should be online at around 6PM UTC and 8PM UTC for highres ones. Wink

Edit : live feed will restart at 2PM UTC

what an achievement and think about to fly all that way and then make them both the same speed and so on so it can land slowly.. damn

Actually, they don't know yet. The guy at the control center just said they have indications that it touched down but can not yet confirm a landing. The dampers compressed less than anticipated indicating a soft touch. But that the harpoons have NOT fired (which seems to contradict what the twitter feed said). He's also said that they have detected movement so it possible it bounced. They are waiting for more pictures.

Thought they were a bit too cheery and overly dismissive when the guy reported on that. I'm hoping it's a glitch, but I'm still concerned. Smile

This is so amazing So Much Win

Apparently, even if the harpoons failed, the secondary devices have managed to drill into the comet to provide a somewhat stable condition. So hopefully it should be all good Razz

(inb4 it bounces back and returns home Sad Laughing)
