I'm replaying Dragon Age Origins and it's beyond painful to see how big of a fuck up Dragon Age II was - and even the third game looks to be a big step back. In DA:O the characters were pretty well written, felt realistic and solid. In DAII they felt like they were fake, their dialogue was often cringe-worthy and their design was OTT.
DA:I seems to take that yet another ridiculous step further. I fully expect the IT clown to be in the next DA game as a romance option.
Yeah, I don't. Trying to be realistic here, the shop I ordered it at got hustled by bigger shops so it's going to be a while. Though it would be a great surprise if/when it gets here. I will give it a try, though, considering BF4 ran with minimum settings.

So I tried the import thingie today and the only thing it takes from your save is how your character looks and what achievements you have. You still have to make all your choices manually, which is pretty terribad.
I don't think it imports any saves at all. Their FAQ says there is no such option at least, nor do I see an option to do so. It does, apparently, sync up with your DAO profile if you have one in Origin, which is why I am guessing it's aware of your achievements.
Okay, forget old saves. is there a way to craft your own from scratch in Keep and export to use in DA:I later? In isodemo version.
Presently there is no way to create some kind of an export file. It works by setting the "world state" for your profile, and I assume the game will "apply" that world state through Origin (you will probably have an option to grab that world state upon starting a new game).
Which pretty much means that if you know someone who has bought the game he can import the world you want, start the game, save it and just send you the save.
whenever i look at the game i feel it has no soul at all. the gfx are good but the art style and atmosphere are horrible. it looks as generic as something can be, like biowEAre just hired random talentless hacks and kept throwing money in their faces 24/7.

After watching the videos my biggest concern (apart from being a Bioware game, and the sequel to the failure of the decade nonetheless) is that it looks scarily similar to one of those flat MMOs with no physicality at all and jumping characters everywhere, only with d̶i̶a̶l̶o̶g̶u̶e̶s̶ one liners in the middle and some prettier visuals.
At least you can actually pause it, for a more tacticool vision. We'll see how the ISO fares, but expectations are as low as you can get.
Yea, the problem is even if I'm willing to buy this game, I don't even know how I would know if I should buy it. I can't trust any reviews for Bioware games. It's an RPG so I can't trust first impressions, streams, etc. I could ISO it, but I refuse to play this game without MY save game, my Warden's influence.
Well I've preordered it, even though i thought DA2 sucked balls in quality Control/rushed.
Either way, all these videos are a bit disturbing, feels like Sim City all over again. Fun gameplay etc in the videos...Basically What you'd expect ingame as next generation of DA.
Then they give us their Little soundbites of giant open World, bigger then DAO, but they really havnt shown us how this giant big World looks like beyond their little selected areas, where they usually stay in what feels like a very predetermined area.
Not to mention the entire Alliance thing, how does that look, how does one achieve it? By sending "card" agents?
Not sure if this is right, but isnt there suppose to be a COOP feature too? Have they shown that?
Anyways, i just see the big sign behind Bioware where it says quite clearly EA... Hope im wrong
Basically trying to see what they are NOT showing us...
*shrug* Giant open World ... Giant oppertunity for ferengi EA to fill it out with you know... downloadable content
So I am replaying the 1st Dragon Age since I talked shit about it in here, but had never beaten it.
me
Here is why I hate these type of games (where party members just randomly decide to leave your party as a part of the "story")
Early in the game, party of 4, clearing a tower. Kill the big boss. Loot him. Give a badass weapon to a character, give a badass shield to another character, exit dungeon........and I wake up to both of those party members gone and they took all the badass shit I gave them.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
