http://www.pcgamer.com/alien-isolation-corporate-lockdown-dlc-announced/
Quote: | Creative Assembly has announced 'Corporate Lockdown'; Isolation's first add-on content. It will add three new maps for the game's survivor mode—each expanding the Sevastopol's story.
"In ‘Corporate Lockdown’, Seegson Executive Ransome has learnt that he has been abandoned by his paymasters," explains the press release. "Knowing that the Torrens is on the way, he decides to make his escape and hitch a ride on board, taking decoded Nostromo data with him. However, while escaping he wants to tie up a few loose ends."
In addition to the maps, the add-on will introduce Gauntlet mode—challenging players to complete all three Survivor challenges back-to-back without dying.
Back to the locker, then. Corporate Lockdown is due out 28 October, costing £5.59 / $8. It'll be followed by four subsequent packs with last one releasing March 2015 |

Im confused, I thought survivor mode is just doing random objectives, and now they announce a survivor mode story addon?
Does the base game survivor mode have a story?

Well story content for such a fantastic game, I might even get with my playfire credits.
I uninstalled the game without even trying survivor mode as I expected just random welding, reactor start up with no incentive other then a time limit or surviving as long as you can.

Seems a flare is like a fetch stick or noisemaker, popped one in the vent and dropped it, I keep walking and turn around the alien is there checking it out, usually don't see them in vents like that maybe he smelled the flare or something. Then he saw me and well, that's one bloody vent

Yeah.. dat ending really implies a sequel or dlc. Not very satisfying.
Spoiler: | What would have been satisfying on the other hand is taking an assault rifle from Alien2 and finally blowing one mo0th"#$!"!# instead of heating their britches all the time, or killing them with the afterburner like in Alien, need some closure God dammit it.
And how did the alien get on that ship as well, the bridge even lol how does alien get on any ship, they find a backdoor somewhere? So if the alien got on that last ship by 'swimming threw space' then he can get on the ship that rescues chick Amanda.
And if he can magically turn on any ship MAYBE HE'S BEHIND YOU RIGHT NOW TURN AROUND QUICK! |

Yeah, ending was bullshit. Its almost sarcastic how many times they repeated the word "CLOSURE" just to have none at the end

For anyone that has yet to play or is still in the process of playing this - DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE NEW NVIDIA DRIVER (344.48 ). As of today, Oct. 23, it causes the game to hard freeze when loading map transitions (elevator, tram etc.)
I had to find out the hard way. No fix thus far that I have found apart from rolling back.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I played with the drivers today to test the DSR feature, and I used an elevator to transition from chapter 3 to chapter 4 just fine.
In other driver news, even downsampling w/ DSR can't remove the jaggies from this game.

Well, after finishing the game on medium (don't stun baton me guys) I can really say that I wasn't involved in a game since... Machinarium?
The art direction (sound, visuals), the tension, the alien lore (and their respect over it) and the gameplay (did I say tension?) were fucking ace in my book.
These days I'm watching people play it on twitch without worrying of being spoiled and I'm getting more and more details of all the love invested in this game. I've come across one tiny detail which moved me, and I risk sounding like an emotional pussy, but there it goes: the working joes, nasty and lifeless as they are, raise their arm to protect themselves from being hit before the last, finishing melee stroke. The animation and their milky blood splattering all around violently makes me kinda sad for them
As silly as it sounds, this detail -among other little ones- makes me feel the love CA invested into making this game. This game is something to be experienced and beheld. I know it's not for everyone but for the hardcore sci-fi fan is a MUST.
I don't own the game, played through the ISOdemo but I'll surely get it when I have the funds to do so (I'm kinda broke right now), I did the same with Machinarium and now I own 4 copies of that game lol.
Kudos, CA and SEGA. The faith in a good Alien game is restored.

Pretty good summary.
A whole lot of love and attention has definitely gone into this game, and without doubt, the best of its kind, thus far. The detail is just stunning, more so if you have watched the movie I'll admit, but regardless, it's a work of art gaming wise, and we all would have screamed for something like this 2 years ago. Not too sure today though, as there is just so much 'nit-picking' around, but one hell of an atmosphere there is to be had in this gem, helped along with the still fresh images in my mind of the great movies it is born from.

Same here, probably even GOTD for me, at least so far. Last time I was this happy with a video game was during the thief 1-2, ss2 and dx 1 era.
