It runs fine on very high, but for some reason it dips to 20s sometimes, and the LOD distance is bonkers, high quality assets appear maybe 10 meters before you and it's really visible.

Fantastic graphics. Looks like the ARMA 3 of RPGs.

Hopefully it won't perform the same Cool Face

Some screens, the Steam forums have a few others too. - https://steamcommunity.com/app/286860/screenshots/

Most of the console commands are available (Such as hiding the hud.) but a few can't be changed and the actual debug mode is unavailable as well.
(Technical alpha so it's pretty rough and beta isn't planned until Q3 2015 but I like what I'm seeing of the game so far.)

Daytime screens look sweet.

Yeah, I only got one or two daytime screens though since I had to go away for a while and pressing ESC doesn't pause time so when I came back a few minutes later it was evening instead. Razz

EDIT: Some more screenshots.

e_* for environment setting, r_* for the rendering setting, g_* for gameplay settings, q_* for shader quality settings, sys_* for system settings (Including graphical presets via sys_spec_* cvars.) and so on, there's quite a few groups. Smile
(Press "TAB" to autocomplete so if you write for example e_ and press tab it'll show all cvars beginning with e_ , meaning you will see all the environment related settings.)

It's pretty much the same as it was with Crysis 1, or Crysis 2 and 3 had they had a fully unlocked console prompt. Smile

I mostly copied over what I used for the CryEngine SDK and then went through the log file and removed all invalid cvars (Mostly remnants from Crysis 3) and then I also commented out all cvars that were locked.
(Can't change the e_timeofday setting for example nor can you disable the LOD system - e_lods 0 - should you want the highest possible graphical detail and a few other things.)

The reverse also works to optimize for more performance. Smile

Oh and not all cvars work 100% reliably in this alpha, r_antialiasing for example will bug out if you try to use any of the values for MSAA.
(You can use ? behind any cvar to get a explanation of it and it's values, so for r_antialiasing it would show the values from 0 to 9 from off, FXAA, various SMAA modes and then MSAA.)

EDIT: The CryEngine wiki should work as well for a overview of available console commands.

Well, doesn't appear to do anything for me. Razz

I went into Bin64 folder, run game.exe, nothing happens.

Did I just install 20GB of midget pr0n? Razz

Yah ran both vcredist files just to be sure, ran the .exe of the game, ran the .bat file... Gave it a good 5 minutes, no icon, no loading, nothing. :'(

The game.exe shows up in task manager for split second only, no crash or anything...
