What matters at the end though is how the Galaxy Note 4 compares to its peers - the ones it will be fighting for the affection of the customers.
The Apple iPhone 6 Plus is naturally the first name that springs to mind, although Cupertino's long overdue move to phablets is probably the bigger story than the device itself. Anyway, Apple's first phablet has an excellent screen, a properly powerful chipset and cool design with an impressively slim 7.1mm profile.
However it can't quite match the QHD AMOLED panel's brilliance and its camera, while also featuring OIS, lags behind in both stills and video resolution. The bezels of the iPhone 6 Plus are also way too big, making it larger than the Galaxy Note 4 and it has no microSD card slot, basically forcing you to get the €900 64GB version. Even in the realm of premium gadgets that's a lot of money - a splash that's really hard to justify unless you are already very deeply invested in the iOS ecosystem.
I hate to revive this hate storm, but I thought I should update on my iPhone plus.
Let me preface by saying I was a naysayer at the beginning. That is I did not believe the report that it would bend under normal use.

I put it in a Spigen Slim case nearly first day.
Also always kept it in my front pocket parallel to my leg. so that there would be less potential stress.
I have only worn my work pants which are casual cut (not baggy, not tight) with this phone, otherwise pajama pants, or very, large-pocket, shorts.
And....... DRUMROLL.
My phone has a slight bend right at the volume rocker.
So apparently this is actually an issue even for people who baby their devices like I do.mad.gif

Now, please, please, please note that I am not defending the phone design here, but some people need to wear proper fucking pants. Maybe Apple did this on purpose all along...
I keep mine in my pocket everyday without even thinking twice about it and my boomerang phone can't even boomerang yet at all.
Are you happy with the phone. I'm just about to send my HTC one M7 back for the third time tomorrow. I've been without a phone for almost 4 weeks now and i'm losing faith that i will ever get my M7 fixed.
Blown top speaker, obvious that it's fucked. It crackles and distorts, yet can they fix it??? NO after 2 attempts. Refused a replacement until 3 repair attempts have been made.
Anyway as i want a 4.7" device and i see the iPhone 6 as the only way forward.
Especially now as it's jailbroken albeit no Cydia yet. This has almost swayed me over to IOS again.
But if you expect a big difference with 5S, then you'll be disappointed. Sure it's more powerful, but so far apps aren't that optimized for it (hell most apps are still stretched on iPhone 6....).
The big difference is the screen though, I think this is the biggest chance and a lot more confortable.
Screen size I've had for the past couple of years with android so that's nothing new for me . Apps still stretched, that's a bit shitty but i guess that's inevitable at launch.
I don't know, guess i'd have to try one. Customization would be the thing i miss the most, android is such an open platform you can tweak until it's completely to your liking.
