Got some extra money - worth changing from Evga 780ti to a Evga 980 card (or two) or should I get another 780ti?

There is no such thing as EVGA 790. You should just get another 780ti, since they are pretty cheap now.

Why not sell the 780's and get 2x 980 with the sale+new money?

But does tri-sli scales and works as good/often as sli?
If so, 780ti, if not go for the 980 I'd say.
No idea though, you need to do your research ankhina

isnt 980 the singlest most powerfull card around today ?
I would always go for single powerfull card, rather than sli... just to avoid compatibility problems
edit: and yeah.. like sabina said. I don't think it's much of an upgrade anwyay

Thought that might be the case - but I think ill get a second 780ti in that case. Reason I wanted one of the 980s was cos of the 4gb memory. I run games in 2560x1440
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Shit.
I thought that you had 2x 780ti and were thinking about getting a 3rd one.
Didn't you run tri-sli cards?

Well then, maybe get a cheap ti and hold on to those until nvidia slashes the 980 prices and get them when that happens.
