Sony can do stinks moves as well ,it's still coming to PC,Mac and Linuix Of Course before or aside PS4 version(they can't undo what promise to backers) but it's still basically same thing with Tomb Rider(aside that there is no PC version alongside Xbox)
at least it's more money to them, which should help make a better game, kinda okay with that, and besides it wasn't planned for any console at all, right? so a PS4 version is actually a step up.
Yeah, no console version originally planned so at least this is a step up and not back. Stripping the PC version and going timed exclusive on the consoles would have been the same kind of bullshit dick move pulled by greedy publishers these days. Still not cool with the timed stuff for console gamers, but at least it's coming to A platform rather than NO platform :\
Yes straining a fairly small team to also develop on another platform will certainly not make rest of the game suffer.
Nor will they dumb it down so it works better with a gamepad.
Or god forbid they reduce the graphics on all platforms because consoles can't run it and they can't be assed to provide a higher definition version on PC.
Because that NEVER happens when a game goes console.

some time ago a similar thing happen , when a project was funded and then it said "Thanks guys for supporting us and sponsoring our PC beta , with this we could get money to be Console exclusive"
Didn't pay attention to the console side of the KS, i don't own one (not counting the ouya that's collecting dust in the corner) so i don't care. But when they say that it will be PS4 console exclusive i personally read that as "not coming to xbox". Shouldn't affect the PC-release at all if that is what you are worried about.

In this case I can't say I mind. The KS campaign was for the PC/Mac/Linux release and this is still happening. Sony decided they want it as well and paid some money for it - good for them.
I am sure a console release was something that was under consideration either way, especially if the game was successful enough.
