so not only they copied "unfriendly" dark souls death system (when you die you lose all your XP and you have to get back and pick it up) but they decided to "enhance" it: your lost XP starts "leaking" in time so it's in your best interest to get it back as fast as possible..
That's not all they added to that aspect, you can leave it there and use it as a buffing aura. I for one like what they came up with.
Also, that man is fucking awesome. Tomasz Gop I mean. He gave me the feeling back in the day that he's extremely passionate about his games, about games in general, that he's an actual gamer and he gives me the same feeling today. This game has always been his "baby" and it's the reason he left CD Projekt, he still is the main guy that presents the game and what no and he's really excited about it everytime he does it.

I don't like it
Didn't know that, yeah it's annoying, if there a thing I HATE in games is having pressure put on me to make me go faster. I like to take my time and explore everything carefully. It's one of the reasons I could never really enjoy Zelda: Majora's Mask, having a clock constantly ticking annoyed the hell out of me.
yep, i hate games that rush you, i like to take my time exploring and experiencing the full game.
especially souls games reward patience and concentration instead of blind rushing.
this game seems to be a bit confused, still having hopes though.

He might be a 20th level Master Jedi but he is just one man. I wonder why did it take 2(!) studios to make this game.. And tbh their previous games do not inspire confidence in their ability to create a good game. Well, Venetica was pretty decent though
Copy-pasting most DS's elements is easier and safer than coming up with something original especially for studios that haven't proved themselves trustworthy and capable of great things game development wise
Anyways, I will probably enjoy this dark souls-lite game if they haven't fucked up anything that is
"The pros are:
solid combat system
most boss fights
a crap ton of secrets and hidden quests
really beautiful
The cons are:
interface could be better
relatively short
armor fashion?
The conclusion states that is a game that takes a creative approach to the formula created by From Software. A game that can stand with the best rpgs of the last 2 years. A game that for once makes use of the powerful hardware we have at this time."

Well it can be short with tons of secrets, that doesnt make game any longer in the larger scale. They literally wrote that it is one of the shortest rpgs but that doesnt bother me since it doesnt "aspire" to be the rpg, its just h'n's game with some rpg elements/mechanics, just like souls, it doesnt have to be another stretched out open world with quests like pick 10 of X and deliver it to Y
Well for me after a total of over 300+ hours between both DS1 and DS2 I have to say that this still looks dull and uninteresting to me in comparison. And I got even more convinced after watching the first out of three full playthroughs of the demo that was posted today. It just felt too "soulless", no pun intended.
I will wait of course for humpers and official reviews after release to finally make my mind up.
the game looks to be doing an ok job mimicking a souls game superficially,
but the true genius in souls games lies within the combination of several perfectly envisioned and executed aspects that go hand in hand:
- tactical, precise combat mechanics with a great and unique flow
- very inspiring world/level design that burns itself into your memory
- thick atmosphere and great soundtrack
- a high but fair difficulty resulting in a rewarding sense of achievement matched by only very few games in history
so far i cant see the game really getting any of these "right", its scratching on some so its a start.

Yeah..I'm not particularly happy about this
LoF design and setting seem to be kind generic. It's beautiful, but it's nothing memorable. At least the part of the game in the preview build.
