Yeah, Wolfenstein managed to surprise me I must admit. I plan to get it on the winter sale so play it full Alien Isolation on the other hand got me from the get go.
Is there difficulty setting? It looked a lot easier than Dark souls (enemies took way much damage from backstabs, did much less damage to player, took longer to attack, etc.).

And? It's its own game, not Dark Souls III. It was never intended to be as difficult as that series.

Really?! That changes everything. Now I don't need to know if there's difficulty setting.
Tomasz Gop the executive producer for the game at Deck13 Interactive was recently asked the same in an interview. According to him, the main story of the game is going to take you somewhere between 13 to 15 hours.
Of course that only takes care of the primary story of the game which according to Gop is only 30 percent of the total content of Lords of the Fallen.
People who want to discover the complete world, unravel everything that the game has to offer and build their character to the fullest will have to play it for much longer than that.
A rough estimate of time that a completionist would require with the game would be above 50 hours.
He also discussed the possibilities of a sequel to the game and said that they already had a number of changes in their mind that they would like to implement. The ideas that they already have for the would-be sequel also include some relating to multiplayer mode.
The sequel however depends completely on the rate of success of Lords of the Fallen. Same is the case with any expected DLC for the game, if everything goes great you might get some new chapters a couple of months after the game releases.

The problem is comparing this game to Dark Souls to begin with (don't know if trucane does that in his mind though). I doubt it will get anywhere near what Dark Souls represents. So people shouldn't be expecting similar parameters

It's pretty obvious they tried to copy dark souls and the devs themselves said they took inspiration from it so comparing the two seems completely reasonable
You can try to compare them, because sure there's some similarities. But it's an utopia from what I've seen in the gameplay videos. Experienced gamers should have learnt to remain calm by now and not expect what they shouldn't regarding this game.
well they said that only primary story takes 15 hours and completionists can do around 50 (so not that far from Dark Souls whose main story can be done in 15 h aswell)
Sounds about right In my case, it always takes me longer than the average person, mainly because I explore and wander a bit too much. So my main story playtime would be the "Main + Extras" and my "Main + Extras" was nearly to the minute the "Completionist" one
EDIT: wait! I was referring to Dark Souls 2 which seemed longer than DS1 to me. For DS1 just substract between 15-20 hours for my playthrough
If anything, I hope the game isnt DERP with fucking elements highlighted and shit glowing everywhere. Also with no QTE then count me in. Otherwise fuck that.
