They consider The Crew serious competition and GTA V a open world sim racer?
As a backer I don't mind the delay, the game needs extra polishing in many areas and that's the real reason for the delay. A more appropriate launch date would be November 2015 imo.

After playing I have to agree, I absolutely enjoy what is there already... but it needs quite a bit more work if you want a near flawless release.

Ooh... sorry I have been playing pcars and Assetto Corsa today and I mixed it up (made me think that pcars used nordschleife as a mock up) 
Realised it when Pax said Eifelwald.

Quick tip, but how do you go about getting full replays? I can see that Free Practice doesn't offer one. Guess i'll try a quick, quick race and see if that does it.

Funny I've been a backer since the start, kinda forgot I was, as I hadn't bothered in a long time with it.. All this talk made me reinstall it.. I don't know guys, this isn't any better than Shift lol. Sad really. It's as if they don't, can't , won't listen either.. The driving model is not good. I am not the only one with this opinion.. As an arcade, simcade game, ok fine whatever. I wasn't looking for that in this tittle.. They aught to be scared of the crew, it's a better simcade game than this is lol. And I have that game and don't care for it that much either, but I have some friends that like simcade crap,  .. I have a g27 and a T500 Rs. I was not impressed with the floaty boaty driving model this simcade still demonstrates. Still dialing in settinngs, hoping it gets better.. The funniest thing; it drives alright with a controller  As does the crew.. As does NFS and shift lol. Yeah
2600k, GigaByte R9 290x, 8 gis of ram on Windows 7 X64

Btw is it normal that career mode is quite bugged?
I qualify and start as second on the grid and all of a sudden I'm at place eleven and a lap behind eventho we all started at the same place.
Sometimes I'm racing over the line with the green light going on 5 seconds later.
Sometimes my kart is up in the air.
And many more bugs.
I noticed the 64bit version acts up even more. When it works I quite like the game, but with these things happening I'm a bit afraid with their release date calculation

3 races and it bugged out again  (Not that problematic, have laundry day today so longest I can play a game is around an hour anyway )
A hard crash this time, not just being stuck. Funny part was that my xbox controller became a vibrator. Eventho the pcars process was killed it still kept on vibrating continuously, I had to unplug it.
Karting is quite fun, some really nice tracks to race on.

Indeed, after trying the latest ISOdemo build, I'm not really surprised that the game got delayed. November was foolish to begin with, what were they thinking.
There have been massive improvements if compared to one of the earlier versions that I tried months ago, but so many placeholders and work in progress stuff are still present, it will definitely take time to properly polish everything. The good physics are there though, same for them sexy visuals (as usual).
It's just that..the whole package is very big and ambitious. Let's hope for the best!

Can't get further in the carreer than the 3rd session in the Dubai 250cc race. Just keeps repeating the event.

Having finally got my hands on it, and putting the controller down and plugging up my wheel... holy hell i'm in love.
But I absolutely agree that no way, no how, was November 7 or 8 even close to a realistic date to release the game.
So much inconsistency with the menus with the padlock symbols. California highway defaults to 20 laps and you can't change it, but after messing around and setting another course to 1 lap, they all have that default setting.
It doesn't run as well as I was expecting it to, based on my hardware. I'm thinking my PSU (I think it's a 650W) is a bottleneck for my setup as my i7 and a 780GTX, aren't getting butter smooth frames with 20+ cars like the videos that paxsali was uploading and fulfilling my requests.
Still, it definitely runs well, and looks quite the showpiece.
And regarding my PSU, I was running a 500, and after dropping a 650 in there, I saw no improvement in 3Dmark, so I felt it wasn't being underutilised. Could be wrong, though.
