after a few hours in it, i really really like it but a tbs combat would have been better; still a very good game but liked m&m X more

You know, I felt the same way before I played LoG1, but then I thought back and realized most of the old school games of this type were real-time, too. I always hated real-time but it does add a sense of urgency that is missing from the TBS crawlers like M&M X. TBS games tend to get me into the min/max rut where I worry about getting the most out of my resources rather than focusing on surprise and survival, which I think is what separates the dungeon crawlers from the rest IMHO.

I have read in many gaming forums about people complaining the game has too many puzzles or too much reliance on puzzles and it makes me face-palm even more. Might not be the game for you.

They can always do better and I think they will, LoG2 is a huge improvement over LoG1 in almost every way. I remember reading how people were pissed that LoG2 cost more at launch than LoG1...now I realize how wrong they were for assuming it wouldn't be more of a game.

@Daemonz I would say this fight is kinda difficult not because it actually is but because of these factors:

- real time
- party
- only way to attack is to mouse click (no hotkeys - whaaaat!? I mean, c'mon ffs!)
-the way you move\look around your party using a keyboard

It's a mess, seriously.

Ok, real time- fine. But ffs. give us hotkeys (1-4 left hand attack , shift 1-4 right hand attack , alt 1-4 cast last used spell). Something like this.Let us remap it.. I could really use properly my 20 buttons mouse for this game lol

I get it. Old school and shit, but there is no need for that.

i boosted the accuracy on my front row so they hit almost everytime...the only one that miss often is my alchemist on the back row ... poor accuracy for now but i'm just level 2...

How many secrets did you find before the first boss?

PostPosted: Thu, 16th Oct 2014 12:15    Post subject: guys i need help!
I have CODEX release of LoG2. At home, i am running Windows 8.1. I installed it, and everything went fine. I grabbed savegames from

%SystemDrive%\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Steam\CODEX\251730\remote

to continue playing from another computer with Windows 7 x64 today.

But when i installed the game from SAME release *.iso i cant use my savegames. This game saves it into My Documents> Almost Human.

Anyone has an idea what to do?
It's like two different releases installed from same iso with same crack... o.O

I played for one hour or so, clearing the first area and exploring the big forest. Needless to say, it's damn good. So Much Win

The new semi-open structure with day/night cycle is well implemented, you can travel without constraints while still retaining the old focused style. The rest is pretty much the same (good), except there are guns instead of bows, the skills are differently placed and spellcasting has been changed a bit. And so many secrets already, feels good men.

2 battlemages + 2 wizards Wink)

PS

I've made some tests regarding alchemist ability to cultivate herbs.

It takes ~ 850 "steps" to get +1 healing herb. Damn.. That's a lot. I had 3 herbs of the same type in my inventory. Maybe the more you have the faster a new one grows , I dunno.

I wonder whether alchemy level affect this or not.
