So anyone tried this on a 21:9 monitor? Cant test it myself since i have work till 21:30 ;( Readed something that the black bars has something shit integrated to them which is crucial to gameplay, sounds good -_-

Vram should be least of your worries, game runs like shit, as in all over the place, regardless
up to 1440p 2gb is enough

Shitty Japanese coding at its finest. They may be good at game design, but their programming skills suck. They still code with paradigms from the NES era, for example: basing events/triggers on the frame counter rather than using proper timers. (see DS, where uncapping framerate originally caused damage counters and other things to fuck up).

In this case, it wouldn't surprise me if the engine was still rendering the full frame, even at reduced FOV.

BTW, traps are incredibly fun to use. I lured one enemy into an explosive trap and watched him explode to pieces, and another into a room that had spikes beneath the floor that are activated by a lever. Very Happy

Fun game, good atmosphere, satisfying headshots, but not at all scary.

In the first town with the zombies now. And besides those really crappy graphics and the shitty "fix" for the black bars i like it.
Controls with mouse and keyboard are fine too. Expected those to be worse.

Two questions:

- Why should you burn corpses? I had one corpse vanish when i went to a near area. And let's say they rise from the dead, wouldn't they just run around the area they got killed? (which i probably won't visit again anyways)

- Is there any use for that torch? Can't seem to burn enemies with it and can't throw it neither

I was sneaking in grass and I had to reduce bars coz I didn't see anything ..however.. it reduced my FOV and I didn't notice a bunch of zombies nearby Run,Forrest, run!Very Happy

@Bob Barnsen You can burn enemies with a torch. I think you need to hold RMB and press LMB. However after that it becomes useless.

As for burning corpses..Supposedly corpses rise when you try to leave the area or after something triggers them to do it + they sometimes drop stuff.

I almost got killed when I was trying to lift the gate coz 2 corpses nearby got up and attacked me Laughing

I dunno whether corpses you kill can rise or not.

Pretty sure that part is scripted.

Some "corpses" are just pretending to be dead, so you might want to burn "suspicious" ones. Laughing

Enemies you killed with traps, weapons or with a stealth kill don't get up.

It is kinda strange that in the game that relies heavily on stealth we can't take a peek through keyholes. I think it's just another cheap "horror" trick as in you have to enter without knowing what is behind a door Laughing
