http://www.gamebanshee.com/news/114587-bioware-developers-on-healing-in-dragon-age-inquisition.html why the game doesn't have healing
I finished Dragon Age Origins two times and I believe it had solid difficulty and there was no health potion "chugging". So I have to call bullshit on their reasons, they just want to streamline to the extreme, removing most of the "non-awesome" reasons to pause the game during combat.

Having to pause and reconfigure your tactic in order to save your party member does add to it. I'm not sure if removing healing spells is that good of an idea. Drinking potions can be done by any character at any time (unless there's a cooldown). But whatever it is, it doesn't require changing your plan, rotating your members, etc. It really is an obvious dumbing down. But that could also mean it is easier to lose a member during a fight since there's less ways to sustain and migrate damage. Could mean CC, avoiding damage are more crucial than just face tanking and out healing the encounter. So guess it is too early to judge, need to actually play the damn game first to know what really is the case here.

Healing is part of the strategy and always has been. Without healing, the entire dynamics of the game changes to rotating your characters in less optimal ways. When your tank gets low on health, you got to pull him back, losing a great deal of damage at the front and usually your DPS is weak so will quickly have to fall back too - it will make combat more chaotic and "dynamic" at the expense of tactical efficiency.
Part of the fun of RPGs such as these, is the good feeling of orchestrating a battle and have it work the way you plan. When you can't heal, an element of chaos gets thrown in there. Sure, it means more frantic action but at the expense of depth.
Hmm, well, maybe they're stealing a page from the Drakensang games in the interest of tactics...I guess we'll find out.
They already stole Drakensang's idea of having injuries cripple people after combat. But that was also Drakensang's weak spot: finding a healer to heal your injuries became quite annoying when you were really deep in a dungeon.
The inventory? Nah, the entire UI is disgusting, just like it was with Skyrim. Completely unfitting style that's supposed to look cool (inspired by iTunes, hurr durr!!!), but it doesn't and it's simply impractical. Pisses me off to no end that it's being adapted to more and more games (Square Enix are using it in most of their games now too). UI in games is a big thing for me so...
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Can't a person who buys the game just import someone else's save into the Keep and then just share the newly generated fresh game save?
Assuming the save files are going to be compatible with cracked version of the game, then yes. But good luck finding kind enough person who's going to convert the saves for random people on the internet

I'm sure if you ask nicely, someone around here might be able to help you out.

I hate how he advertises features which are present in pretty much any and every RPG that has that type of camera akin to the tactical one as freaking gifts from the gods that were never before seen by the petty eyes of us mortals. Jesus. "You can select opponents with the mouse, you can't do this on consoles" ...
