They haven't announced any new features at all yet, they will start in September. I think it's a social experiment to see how many people are dumb enough to pre order a new version of an annualized game with no information given to them at all. Or it's just to cash in on the football season starting.
Either way I'm one of those idiots since I couldn't resist using 25% off at gmg
The usual little interface tweaks here and there, the '4' changed to a '5', data updates, different player on front of box, and the match engine broken further. Oh, and more DLC added in-game.
Are these real? Interesting! Look at the player attributes that go like "12-19" of Cerny, hmm, is that a potential rating of how good coaches think he can get at a certain attribute?
No images of the match engine...
WTB DARK SKIN, this white is killing my eyes within seconds.

Looks more like pre-scouted attributes to me, if those are real of course.
Could that be that we no longer know the exact skills oponent players have? I love the pros/cons screen, it seems like some general knowledge for a player, kinda cool.

Bhahaha... no "REAL" improvements to their SUCKY 1980s-looking Match Engine this year then? Fuck off Sports Interactive, you pricks. Knowing them they'll add 3 new animations and birds flying over the stadium and leave it at that nonsense.
I play every year, but last one I bought was 2007, won the 2014 with a giveaway.
It's still fun, but yeah shelling out 40€ for minor updates is not for me... even when I end up +100 hours with each game.
They could do more and everyone knows it, so I'll stick to demo'ing until they show a change.
Is it just me or does the 3D view look worse this year? Some of those pitches look terrible and some really hurt my eyes! I really hope that is like alpha footage. Think I will skip it this year, didn't really like 2014 much and this looks like another minor update.
I watched the long video and I feel they spent the most time talking about interviews/press conferences and talks with players; all which are like this weird mini-game of selecting from pre-made answers and hope you somehow get it right.
The match engine footage looked mediocre and like Saber said, I can only hope it was alpha, because it looked to be running like shit, with players skating along on air apparently. I did however like some how the keeper saves shown.
The tracksuit manager/Tactical manager thing is interesting, but as you can hire coaches, it seems a ton more important to be respected off the training ground instead; perhaps the lower league clubs with little funding to hire staff would be more interested in a tracksuit manager than one with the ability to sign the best coaches.
I don't like the side-bar. It felt weird to look over to the side again as if we're playing the older manager games; and of course again their reason for doing this was to be able to sell the game to even more people with even crappier machines and monitor resolutions instead of doing what they can to make the game look like a modern game.
I just hate player interactions. Sure you can ignore them completely, but with morale being such an important aspect for performance of the club you are almost force into meddling with them. It's especially important when you are managing a club without big coffers, but even when playing big clubs morale will determine tables. Morale boosts you get from conversations amounts to huge improvements on the field. Not as deciding factor as AI's dumb trades, jet still just as important as tactics. And that's just bullshit.
You have this dumb dating game concept that overshadows picking, placing and instructing players how to play the bloody game.
Haha, yes, the psychological aspect of any team sport can affect the outcome of a game, but the way they've chosen to handle it with all of the conversations and so forth is tedious in 2014 and it will get even more tedious and repetitive in 2015 it seems like.

It does. Some players look like matchstick men Anyway, 2D Classic ftw!
Still play 2010 version to this day, not that it was the best, but the most recent I enjoy, and when you load it up, its a relief to play the actual game, and have fun doing so, without all the shit on top.
It really seems the guys at SI don't understand that sometimes LESS IS MORE! They are cramming in features like crazy. I heard this guy Miles say that they strive to get at least 1000 new features in every year. But having more features does NOT make it a better game imo. My problem is that the game is simply not as fun as it used to. It feels like you are doing an actual job. Sure you can tell your assistant manager to take care of some stuff but it feels wrong somehow. Like you are getting a disadvantage by not all-out micro managing EVERYTHING which is a serious chore.
My advice to SI: trim this game SERIOUSLY down! Remove EVERYTHING with press conferences for gods sake (who the hell came up with that being a good idea?!). Remove most of the team talk stuff, the training micro-managing and well a lot more. Sure, I know I can play classic mode, but that feels half-baked. Give us a GAME instead of an endless list of micro-tasks that we have to do.
I for one think they nailed it with the press conference thing, very life-like. Just like in real life, they're filled with one-liners and useless bullshit.
