Oh I thought that was because I used command-line parameters and unsupported cvars in the config files, so it's a cloud issue? (I have Steam Cloud disabled so it only uploads - can't disable that - doesn't download anything.)

Back up the save files regularly. Smile

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*SomeSteamNumber*\302510\remote
(Just place the files in there in a subfolder, should keep them safe.)

Hopefully Valve / Crytek gets the server side part of this problem fixed shortly.

I only lost the first and half of the second level but if you've been playing for a few hours you could be near the midpoint of the game and losing all that progress (Plus settings and other data.) is a lot more annoying.

Ehhhhhh are you serious?
Yes, it removes most aliasing, but the picture is fucking blurry

It's similar to TXAA but this is something Crytek developed internally for their engine, UE4 also has some form of temporal AA as a default option and it's similarly rather blurry.
(Supersampling clears it up a bit but then you won't have much left of that precious framerate. Razz )

It's not just the saves. Chapter 3 is bugged....You have to release a few chains so that your ships get ashore. But as soon as you start that chapter, you notice you can't choose an ability, throw spears or interact with most objects.

So basically you can keep fighting until you die, then when you restart from last checkpoint, the game is even more bugged.

EDIT: Looks like they are working on a patch. Smile

Hey all,

if you already had the chance to play Ryse after it went live earlier today, you might have encountered an issue where the game lost your save, forcing you to restart the campaign when rebooting.

This issue was due to a problem with the syncing of save games between your game and the Steam Cloud.

We have just released a Hotfix to address this issue, so you will once again be able to save both locally and in the Cloud, as intended. It will also help gamers who reported issues with certain Checkpoints after dying.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to retrieve previously lost saves, and affected users will have to start the campaign anew.

We apologize to everyone affected, and hope you will enjoy your journey to save Rome this weekend.

Thanks,
The Ryse Team

Cool, but still these are quite old games (other than Wasteland 2). Those games have been available for Mac for example, and still I wouldn't call it a gaming powerhouse. Smile

I am not really interested in gaming anymore, since 2010 i don't play much. The only game i might miss is mass effect 4 ... nothing more. Just wanted to test linux and saw wasteland 2 was released so i installed it too. Works perfectly, same goes for XCOM
