It's a shame since the game looks great but black-bars and huge crosshair are so ugly
I'm still going to enjoy the fuck out of this but i just don't understand the logic of the devs

I'm probably one of the very few who don't mind black bars. I don't in movies so not much in games either. Of course i prefer if there are none but if there are it doesn't bother me that much. I remember playing Condemned (or was it Condemned 2) with black bars and i still enjoyed it greatly.
That said we the master race have the option to remove them on PC so that shouldn't even be an issue really
I can't even stand for black bars while watching a movie, because it seriously cuts of major parts of my TV. Ok but that's understandable, that's how movie is shot for theatrical reasons in that aspect ratio. I seriously don't have a problem with that. It just annoys me, that's all.
But WTF this is a video game man! I mean if you want a clostrofobic feeling go with more darkness like Alien Isolation, it suits this kind of games perfectly. Hell, thight corridors would do trick. And it will seriously damage the controls, how you feel the movement on the screen as you struggle to see shit on your screen with both low FOV and idiotic aspect ratio. Neither won't help while playing this game. Though once again, I can understand low FOV, you know, this is supposed to be a horror game. But I can never ever understand and FORGIVE that aspect ratio.

I can deal with 16:9 black bars also. You know most of us already have 16:10 or 16:9 monitors by this time. But a theatrical aspect ratio cuts off more then that. That's almost half your screen.
I must be honest, as long as the game itself is good I don't give two shits about black bars. Call me derp all you like, but is it really such a deal breaker? You guys take this shit way too seriously.

I suppose the whole screen (including the bars) is supposed to be 32cm? Otherwise your image is scaled wrong
my screen is 37", 32+14=46cm height, it's just visual representation, i didn't bother scaling it and shit
It's just that it gives the wrong idea then. If the 7cm part looks like 7cm, then the 32cm is roughly half of what it's supposed to be, so you made it look worse than it is
