Well I just hope it doesn't take too long, I think I might just wait for this "patch" before purchasing. I want to experience the game in all it's glory!

well you still get the free ps+ version, it only has 11 tracks and 10 cars, but all the other functionality is there to play the game for a while and decide.

looks like FH2 on xbox one easily won this fight. doesn't mean this isn't a decent game still. destiny got similar scores and people can't stop playing it.

Difference is that Destiny doesn't have any serious competition in its entire genre. Driveclub may not have competition on the PS4 (yet), it does on other platforms. And considering even Gamespot calls it bland.. |

so i played the game for a good hour. mostly did single events (races).
here are my impressions.
graphics: they are good and greatly depends on location and time of day and weather. racing in a sunny norway track looks bright and full of contrast. on the other hand, rocky chille with overcast looks bland, as it should. i think they went for realism. there is hardly any bloom or similar effects. forza horizon 2 looks saturated and almost cartoony looking compared to driveclub (probably one of big reasons why it's getting low scores and gets called bland). i was mostly impressed by night racing actually, it's probably second best thing to rain racing whenever that comes.
gameplay: it's solid. i found handling to be very similar to Forza4 (haven't played 5 so can't compare). i felt right at home. so far cars haven't felt "floaty", but i haven't raced any of the expensive stuff yet. can't comment much more on gameplay, as i only played for a little over an hour and haven't even done anything multiplayer (can't connect to driveclub server thingy).
sound: not an expert on this one, but it didn't sound horrible like GT5 or 6 so i think it's ok
my initial score is 8/10, might change later on.
hmm what else? oh right, gamespot reviewer is a fucking dumb ass derp.

This game is really awful, no replay (does not seem to have one), graphics look like a PS3 game without aliasing, even Forza 4 on xbox 360 looks and play better.
Musics are terrible, that's a shame to have wait so much for such a game ...

yes really, it is a big disappointement, Forza HOrizon is so much fun and great compared to that game (I'm wondering if some android racing games are not cooler and prettier than this one ...)

this game is far from perfect but i gotta counter some of this nonsense 
stop comparing it to forza horizon... that game is about SUVs, big jumps and offroading on the fields while listening to music, NFS and TDU style.
complaining about music? this game has music? your credibility downgraded this game is more like GT or Forza, music is OFF by default while racing.
horizon is a FUN but mainstream derpy game for derpy casual racing, driveclub was advertised as mainstream, but really isn't. this game will be one of those games that has cult following, kinda like NFS Shift, that typical NFS kiddies hated, but more grown up gamers liked.

well it appears i'm the only one here who played the game so far, and my mini review is kinda positive. maybe alucard played too, not sure.
