Of course looking at it that way the stock product should be superior compared to previous offerings, especially for PC. What worries me now (and apparently many people @ NLSC as well) is that they might have also given 2K ideas about how to make the game unmoddable or very little moddability.

What do you think about it?

I'm probably not the best person to comment on that, because most of the mods are made for playing vs the CPU and I'm finding offline play incredibly boring in every sports game I play. With saying that, obviously I'd like every talented individual to join their team and make the stock product way better especially with the amount of bugs they had with online associations, which can be incredible once you set some ground rules.

Guess they're trying to combat piracy with obscenely bloated file sizes.

Actually they're screwing the pc users as a whole as they have to download the game from steam Laughing guess the game is to big for a dvd it would need 4-5, tehy should maybe start releasing games on blue-ray.

Modding will find it's way in, it always does.

Using 3DM's crack reduces the size of saves? Confused

No but 3DM/ALI213 emu makes the saves go to game dir so thats way better for me.

Edit:
At least game seems optimized. No problem holding 60+ FPS all the time (except when it switches to cinematics after you score points or make foul or something) with everything maxed out on 1080P

I use 3DM for exactly that reason, my C drive is quite small from back in the day so with Win7 I only have around 5GB free.

Game is awesome though, finally a proper engine for PC. With the save files my folder is now 52GB lol, had to delete a lot of games from the SSD for this one.

So i assume rld rls takes around 46GB installed with saves at default location? I have a small partition with 40GB free space and i'm wondering is that enough space?
It was enough for Shadow of Mordor.

So is this insane size on purpose or is it actually necessary?

Ofc not. It's the same size as console versions. Has nothing to do with anti-piracy measures and such.
Game works fine here (q6600, 7gb ram, 6850) on medium settings though and only shaders high. I'm trying to make it smoother with some tweaks in the cfg file as for now I have between 50-55fps on 1080p and it doesn't feel quite right. Maybe I'll drop shaders to low and raise textures and player detail to high, idk.

There is no option for shadows this year. It's under special effects option which disables everything.

especially considering they could just make one player and use his texture for all the others.

I mean, how much space can a black texture take up? Cool Face

At least console gamers have an amazing face scanning! Laughing

With such a gigantic size it'll take me a while.. [cries internally], but hopefully I'll be able to maintain 60fps at decent detail. How's the gameplay so far? Razz
