Seems that it doesn't work in Win2000, tried removing the DVD-drive, tried to hide node with SFnightmare.
Tried to change IDE-drivers to Generic drivers, that didn't change much (what does that help anyway?).

you need xp with sp2, as stated in the nfo, and you need that for most sf releases these days.

Yeah, that really doesn't make sense.
Could someone explain what it is that requires WinXP and SP2?
Because first of all, i have played other SF-releases and second it doesn't make sense that it needs any kind of update when you remove your drive then revert to generic drivers etc (in other words you're using old shit).
There shouldn't be OS requirements on a release if the original doesn't require it, that's just lame ripping.

Just be glad it's out.. it's not that much work to get it working when you know how to make it work =)
Concidering it took over a week to get this out it's propably not that easy to crack, personally i rather have this version then none at all.

Yeah, it took a week to "copy" the game, it's still not cracked so no credits for that.
I'm just curious on what it is that requires all this stuff, from my point of view: if a game runs on a certain OS, a clone shouldn't require anything else because then it's not really a clone now is it because a clone would work as good as the original.

blame it on the people who develops the copyprotection.

Damn, ive tried everything.... ive tried both methods, but keep getting the error saying "The disk key you entered does not correspond to the disc in the drive. Make sure you use the correct disk key" Iv tried dissconnecting my IDE drives and using the original drive letters for both alcohol and DEAMON... still getting the same message, even uninstalled my physical device drivers and reinstalled... also tried to uninstall StarForce... though there seems to be some Reg info from SF i cant get rid of, since after Uninst/reinst SF didnt require me to input the key again....

Please i need HELP... Really wanna try this game.......

Uhm no, method 1 doesnt work on any computer since this is a DVD.. you can't burn RAW/DAO with dvd. I would guess a good crack can be made when Daemon Tools 4 is out.

This one is a real low-budget game. It'll cost about 10 EUR in Poland. I think I'll buy it anyway - it cost peanuts and is not worth all that hassle with sfcure.

OMG I got it working! I just did the disable node, disable cd and then disable node again. I didnt bother with disabling IDE channels. The game works fine! One thing I dont understand is why are the option menu greyed out at the start?!

May the NFOrce be with you always.

some one can try this guide on win2000 from AlexK1 on another forum :

- unplug you physical CD / DVD devices
- install the sfcure driver 1.xxh
- install Win2k3NodeDisabler
- start sfcure
- start Win2k3NodeDisabler
- in Win2k3NodeDisabler change the bus driver names to one which you used during the Alcohol installation
- press disable node. You can see the success in the Win2k3NodeDisabler status window
- mount the full image in Alcohol
- start the game. If everything is ok it will start after few seconds without CD / DVD

If the system freezes include the option /execute=optin in the boot.ini - file (this is a hidden file in the root directory of the startup drive)

Tools you need (the fantastic trio! Thanks to the developers of the tools)
- Alcohol
- sfcure 1.xxh
- Win2k3NodeDisabler

ok for those people who got it working, what am i doing wrong:

win xp, sp2...
uninstalled nvidia ide drivers to get the default os ones
unplugged the dvd drive
ran !setup.bat, reboot, installed game
mounted in daemon tools, ran !start.bat, (started successfully)
lauched game
the protection window sits on 'checking disc' for about 3 mins then says disc key is invalid

tried reinstalling daemon tools and leave the default port/bus names (i changed them before)
tried using alcohol instead
tried changing the cd key (at first i pasted straight from nfo) to have no dashes, etc.

how did you guys get around the disc key problem ?

ok i got it to work. the trick is that not only do you have to unplug your cd/dvd drive but you ALSO have to use starforce nightmare and do the whole disable node/disable cd/disable node thing (i also disabled my unused channels, primary/secondary slaves)

Just reah the batfiles and regfiles, they tell you exactly where and what they applied. Open them with notepad.

I tried that one, the nodedisabler doesn't seem to work.
I tried the same version that was posted by AlexK1, the first thing that doesn't seem right is init.cmd, there's only run.cmd (The readme for the same files says init.cmd) and when running run.cmd it says that the file cannot be found.
Anyone got a working version of the nodedisabler so i can give it a try? and yeah i tried to put in /execute=optin in my boot.ini but that didn't help either.

Confirmed it runs also on win2k

here are the complete instruction :

1) Unplug all your cd/dvd (just the data cabel you can leave the power cable) not sure if needed but I done it

2) download this 3 softwares :

- Alcohol.120%.v1.9.5.3105.REAL
- Sfcure (you find one in the ufo aftershock release)
- Win2k3NodeDisabler

3) unpack sfcure and Win2k3NodeDisabler

4) run !setup.bat of sfcure

5) run install.cmd of Win2k3NodeDisabler

6) Install Alcohol 120% (during installation it will give you the service name used take this)
-add /execute=optin in boot.ini : (example : multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WIN2000P="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect /execute=optin )
- RESTART YOUR SYSTEM

7) start Alcohol 120%
- mounth the game image

Cool install the game

run the game (this will install the game protection and will make you RESTART the computer again)

9) run -!start of sfcure

10) run run.cmd of Win2k3NodeDisabler check that the service name is correct and disable nodes you will get a log similar to this one :

Disabling nodes
Fixed at: SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\SYSTEM\0002
Fixed at: SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Enum\Root\SYSTEM\0002
Fixed at: SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\SYSTEM\0002
Finished
-------------------------------------------

11) run the game insert the serial number you got from the nfo file

- SEE the starting animation of the game
- return on this forum and say THANK YOU ALL GUYS THE GAME WORKS

Now I go back to the game I have to have my revenge on that aliens

It only worked for me after unplugging the IDE drives.
Any ideas what I did wrong? If I leave in one IDE drive, even if I disable it, StarForce will complain "Please put disc into other drive".
Tried latest DT and Alc.

Hangs on checking disc =(

I have my IDE unplugged, did all the instructions as said in the NFO.

If I wait it'll goto enter CD key. I enter it and it says it's the wrong CD key (one from NFO)

Totally flabberghasted!

I've only encountered 1 bug and it came after a few hours gameplay, a simple gamerestart fixed that problem. What bugs are you referring to?
