Holly crap.

Devs did a really great job here with Beta 2 already.
Missions help a lot for making money at the beginning even with the little Sidewinder thingy.

Got my Hauler in no time ... just to find out they decreased its cargo space from 15 to 8 !

So getting a Cobra will still take a little while ...

AI is way better, tons of new ship upgrade/equipment and dat new UI !
I just need some filter to display only doable mission with current ship and a better way to browse available ship parts rather than having to enter any submenu to find out most of them are empty on some stations.

Enjoying the game a lot for now.

Agree, the game is coming along nicely.

Struggled to get into it during the Premuim Phase but with the latest Beta im finding it hard to stop playing. For me it's all about trading and slow paced exploration.

While the visuals are nothing special they have improved greatly since the early days. Massive gripe for me were the excessive jaggies and lack of any real aa options. While you can enable ssaa via the config file all it did was butcher performance while doing little to alleviate the jaggies.

Thankfully the latest build is a great improvement in that department and overall aswell.

Looking forward to future updates... Cool

EDIT : My bad, it seems you can install additional cargo modules at the cost of other devices.
(ie. you can remove useless things like fuel tank and shield generator to achieve like 22t cargo space.)

I'm not sure if things have changed, i was an Alpha backer and keyboard and mouse back then was horrible. Then i tried my xbox360 controller, that was much better.

Then i plugged in my MSFFB2 joystick!! Shocked Interactive it really needs a joystick to fully appreciate the game. Sorry!

I have this joystick. Is this a default profile for the game by chance or was it customized as such? If it was the latter, could I d/l this profile somewhere?

I took the pic from this thread : http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=21522
(I am using a custom X55 profile)

Don't seems you can download the profile though.

Yes, you got 3 springs of different resistance to fit your preferences.

Yesterday i was messing around with voice attack and i thought that ingame we need some voice acting cause game sometime is too emm silent Smile So i took Sally's voice from IVONA, used another software and made that voice sound like a robot. Then added to voice attack and made short video with everything attached to Elite: Dangerous

Hope u like it Smile Actually i think we need some sort of database of phrases with voice acting so we could add it to voice attack. It is easily doable in lots of languages. Some peps allready making a business from this kind of input.

Beh... first i couldnt start the game. When i pressed "Play" it actually asked me if i want to uninstall. When i went to check game files, it asked me the same. Complete uninstall (folders, registry keys) did the trick.

Then i played about an hour. In that hour the game got stuck 3 times, 2 times after warp and 1 time after pressing "Launch" docked at a station. Then i gave up.

Heres the stream, if anyone is bored enough to watch it -> http://www.twitch.tv/panthau/b/575166421

well... not sure what do u mean about giving up. I just hope u did file the ticket cause it's beta 2 and u are a beta tester, right? Smile We should find any possible bugs and report it so final version would be playable to all. Sometimes beta testing is daunting and frustrating, but that's what u should expect playing not a full game. As for me i haven't stumbled on any major bugs yet. And i bet Frontier devs are working hard trying to resolve reported issues.
