hey there..
im a tee drinker and well, i just heard from my fav. tea store that Bamboo tea isnt allowed in teh EU anymore as a food....
WTF? why? does anyone know more about this? i cant find shit in the web, besides that the eu doesnt allow it anymore , beginning 9/2014....
i love my bamboo.... Fuck the EU and its useless laws... if anyone finds out "why" they banned it, please tell me....

i know its kinda a strange thread and all. but i mostly, ONLY drink bamboo tee..so, its bad news for me and i just wanna know the freaking reason for this nonsense...

Where does it say that the EU put a ban on Bamboo tea?
Edit: The only regulation I could find about Bamboo was regional. As in certain products (Bamboo, mushrooms,...) from Japan in the regions affected from the Fukushima disaster had export bans (well it said: imposing special conditions upon them).
Didn't find anything on Bamboo tea itself.

Because bamboo don't grow in EU son so we need to drink are own shit and limit our imported goods so drink oak or larch tea.

i guess i have to go back there and ask again...but im 100% shure he mentionend and sayed teh EU doesnt allow the import or something ...
thats what theyr delivery firm says....
If i can still order it somewhere else i dont mind much actually..

so im not the only one who cant find anything about it.
as far as i understand it, its not labeled as food anymore, and as such cant be offered as tea..i think?!?!?!??

Most likely he or the delivery firm are just putting the blame on something else.
You could always ask him the year and number of the documents that state it is prohibited. Then it's just an easy search (he should have those if there is really a ban on the goods).
Did a search and you can still buy it around here, no store that mentions anything. So check some more stores in your country.
