Had a very frustrating and unsuccessful run at the weekly heroic last night with headsh0t and another friend. We just couldn't get past that fucking last boss with his adds. i am up for anything this weekend since the loot cave was nerf`d. we could have a go at the raid, i can access it freely since i hit level 25. the loot there is supposed to be quite a bit better than anything we get in the weekly strikes.

I would love to hit up vault of glass with you guys. Sadly, what everyone recommends is that you are level 27 for it, since you do quite a bit more damage to the enemies that way. All I need is rank2 vanguard, and a few legendary upgrades and I'm there Smile

same here, a few more patrol missions and bounties and i should reach vanguard 2, got enough vanguard marks now for 2 pieces of legendary equipment with light +18, already got queen`s chest, so i would be set then. either way we could just try it with a group of people and maybe atleast get some nice loot out of it.

i just did the weekly heroic(had a bounty for that) by myself, it seemed easier this time. i heard when bungie closed the loot cave that they may have made it a bit easier to do those strike missions and the raids. mind u am a lvl 25 and the weekly heroic was for 24, and i did die a couple times.

Rare engrams will have an increased chance to produce Legendary quality items
Activity Changes

Daily Heroics, Weekly Heroics, and Vanguard: Tiger Playlist activities will include Rare and Legendary Engrams in addition to their existing rewards
Item Changes
Ascendant materials have been promoted to Legendary to closer associate them with the gear they are used to upgrade
Legendary Engram items that exist in your inventory will be demoted to Rare quality when the patch goes live, so decode them while you can.

Most if not all of us are on PlayStation. Protip: if you are about to level your cryptarch rank save it for after the patch, that way when you get legendaries in the mail... they will actually fucking be legendaries. nice, now the real leveling begins, be patient as it will take you easily this much again just to make it to 25 as tw1st said though, better not to go loot hunting or leveling the cryptarch too much now. you will waste alot of time doing that now so better wait for the loot patch that is going live within the next few days.

tl;dr:

the engrams you get after the upcoming loot patch will result in far better equipment than what you get right now, hence loot hunting right now would be a waste of time as it would mostly result in shitty equipment.

ps: engrams are the unidentified items that the cryptarch turns into equipment for you

Yeah, I noticed it said light when I equipped an armor I got playing with twist and another dude. So for me to level to 21 I just have to find more armor that has +light?

yep, or you upgrade the armor you have, for every defense upgrade the light stat of the armor goes up by +2

I've made it to level 2 on the FWC faction and I bought my first piece of legendary armor. I've gotten an exotic scout rifle, exotic auto rifle, exotic sniper rifle and legendary auto rifle from engrams / crucible but no armor Maxed out on crucible marks for the week so I can only buy one piece... should get me to 25. Well... at least you know there will be lots to look forward to now hehe. Apparently the new patch hit's Tuesday, nice. Finally loot will be... much, much better. Better engrams, better rewards, looking forward to this. Also, finally hit 27.... now I'm pretty much just farming mats to upgrade my gear to push me into 28, ready for raiding.
