How do the bugs affect the game? Just a minor thing? Or does it spoil the fun?

I don't mind waiting half a year for them to patch it up.

So what do you guys think?

half a year? really? This is not battlefield 4. Wasteland 2 is perfectly playable Smile

The sweetfx link above, they turned wasteland 2 into color/sharp land.

There must be a better preset that doesn't alter too much

There is ingame saturation slider, I turned it all the way down + lowered brightness a bit, looks great with sweet fx.

Will try it asap, thanks

Does anybody know if blowing up safes (as opposed to unlocking them via skill) has any negative impact on the loot inside?

I've never tried blowing up a safe, but I have shot a crate that I critically failed a lockpick on and jammed the lock. There didn't seem to be any adverse affect, no "broken items" or anything, but I'm not 100% sure.

Well, when I did blow it up there was nothing "broken" and I don't really expect there to be, but I did wonder if it some more valuable loot would be absent Smile

I got some containers blown up (ARG center & those exploding plants) - most items were still there, but I do recall getting *some* things looking as if they were destroyed by the blast. Can't recall names right now - various colors, shards of wood/glass or sth.

I did not get them from "normal" containers... at least yet.

Also, holy 1,5GB fuck of a patch

Huh, I've seen it happen a LOT, at least given how low % are.

Watching those heavies who normally shred entire group with their salvos desperately waving hands and wasting APs still causes a very wide smile.

On the other hand I've seen weapons jammed despite mods reducing chance to 0%, so... Surprised

Downloading status after having downloaded 1.5 Gb is stuck at 100% atm and the game is getting auto-updated

PS and it's...done! Very Happy

I've never had a weapon modded to 0% jam personally, but if that is actually confirmed as occurring then there is definitely something screwy going on beyond what the code would suggest it is doing under the hood.

Just got that update too, but it's "only" 9GB Laughing (edit: suddenly it's down to 1.5GB)

Patch Highlights:
Quote:
- Removed unused DX11 support to improve stability and allow Steam overlay to work properly
- Many UI fixes/polish for better ease of use and readability
- Slight reduction to jam rates for large offenders
- Added mini-maps to all shrine locations
- Improved localizations based on context and fixes for missing translated text
- Preserved time stamps on save games when using Steam Cloud
- Optimization pass to some of the more expensive levels.

You can also send an email to support@inxile.net. It might take a day or two, but they usually respond.

Noticed a high occurence of jamming and critical fails with only 1% chance of failing. In a blue moon you will fail, but it has happened 5 or so times and i'm only at the plant plase with the overgrown animals.

Does anyone (randir, perhaps?) know when InXile is planning on bringing back to the overall minimap? Or at the VERY least adding a zoom function to the large minimap?

Does anyone know if you get the Spec Ops squad clothes at any point of the game? Its kinda disappointing really, I was hoping that they will give me a Ranger badge and cowboy hat when I became a "true" ranger.

Is there a way to "permanently" fix zoom level for all areas?

I don't think they're bringing back the minimap. They weren't happy with it during beta so they went with the area map instead. They listen to suggestions though, so it's worth a shot posting on their forum about wanting a zoom level on the map.

The closest to that would be the Black Jeans and Boots and Black Combat Jacket. The latter is dropped by Diamondback Militia in Canyon of Titan. The jeans drop somewhere in LA.

I've got an allergy to "official forums", they're invariably a hive of closed minded fanboys that refuse to acknowledge anything could possibly be less than perfect with their flawless game and any deviating from the established slathering norm is immediately set upon by the hordes.

"lol map is fine n00b, u just need glasses top lel #rekt"

Nah, I'll pass and just hope that InXile realise that not everyone is sat wearing binoculars and is thus unable to see any of the maps. Thanks though, it's a shame the onscreen minimap was removed Sad

One thing i don't understand is why everyone's saying the AK-47 is better than the M16. I was hyped to change my M16, but when i arrived to LA and found my first AK-47 i was really dissapointed. Can anyone tell my why is it better?

Edit: Ugh, my mistake, it was the AK-97 everyone talked about...

That's a pretty decent patch notes. Good to see they're working on problems. I'm having fun so far. Still just finishing up the Ag center though. Thought I was done but one guy I found was still showing in the quest list. Went to where he was and was jumped by about 10 of those stupid exploding plant people.
