When you first load up the game, it scans your retina's to find out how shit you are at playing, then drops you into a suitable league based on that info.

No, no, it's not your retinas. Origin has been storing details on your skills since you started playing games. Since you are obviously shit, even at Peggle, that's your starting division.

Game is shit. Full of bugs and the atmosphere is just lame. Ok BPL is good but the rest is so boring. And we can't add custom chants anymore, well done EA.
30€ on the Mexican store was already too much.

I don't mind because I'll end up playing it but that's seriously retarded.
How difficult is it to have chants for major teams in every league, have the crowd booh the opposite team, etc? Just lazy fuckers.

I managed to collect enough GreenMenGaming bonuses to grab the game for ~10 dollars, only to realize that EA has removed unranked online lobbies completely (which was my favourite "mode" in the previous Fifa's). I'm not even mad.
Okay Laughing

Haven't even played a full match yet, but will play in the weekend, so if you see me online on Oriderp feel free to poke me Razz

Wait till you see they removed the latency bar... Now you have no idea, what 3rd world internet connection you come across Very Happy

Well, at least your mistake wasn't that expensive, because I too am having serious doubts about the game, but my issue is the gameplay itself. I'm not sure if I need a longer adaption period, but so far the game for me is shit. I hate the pace, it's way too fast... Shooting is broken too, sometimes you just have to tap the shooting button even from a huge distance or you will miss an open sitter (dem sweaty goals). The defence is shite, games keep ending up with huge scores, the goals number is usually in double figures (but I think this will improve with practice). The new keeper AI, damn where to start with that one... I played way over a thousand matches online with Fifa 14, you knew perfectly when to rely on your keeper with the occasional blunder or two... Here, you literally have no idea what's going to happen when the opponent shoots it, which is also due to the weird shooting mechanic...

And all of this is with the patch, playing FUT, seasons and co&op seasons...

Over 1000 games in FIFA 14 here too, so we probably need more adjustment, but overall impression this far, me no like.

90% of the game is played in the offensive or defensive zones.
First touch is totally unpredictible, every pass is a gamble at least if you want to move while recieving the pass.

Players often get "stuck" on opponents.

Aaaand the player switching, it rarely picks the right player (it didnt in FIFA 14 either, but not as bad as this) and it feels like theres a bit too long delay, when switching.

Thats what messes up defending mostly for me, in FIFA 14 i would switch player, knowing which one i would get to control getting time for positioning. Now i have to look around the pitch finding the random player i control and by the time i find him i have to make a new switch, and the defensive pinball mayhem begins....

I'll give it some time for adjustment and patches, but it feels wonky

I have no problems with player switching or "stucking". My main gripe so far is that you can exploit the cpu D easily on Pro difficulty by making runs with midfielders and changing directions. That's not really good because Pro difficulty is generally very balanced and in World Class you experience some cheap cpu attacking again.
There is however the new cl.ini by Fidel which increases cpu D awareness and you can still have fun in Pro.

I don't have that problem, because I always change players with the right stick in defense, but what sucks for me, is the fact that you have to time your tackle perfectly, which makes it even harder to play defense, taking it closer to the arcade genre than the last few years. This year you don't need the kickoff bug, it's easier to score going around defenders, because no one can play defense. I'm sure we'll get used it to soon, but they keep going the wrong way with the series.

Also do your defenders like to get injured way too frequently? It's either cramping (I never play them with under 85 condition) or just injuries they can eventually walk off...

Sometimes I wonder if we all play different games. Very Happy I haven't played too much just yet, but I certainly haven't noticed THAT much problems with the game so far.

I think shooting is perfectly fine, scored some crackers from distance and shooting inside the area is no problem at all. Really hope they won't change this too much just cause you can't hit the target all the time from distance, it's the way it should be I think. Or is it something else with shooting I am missing here? Have not noticed any blunders from the keepers yet, not in the demo either. First touch is fine too, I can even score a one time volley (with ball coming from behind the striker) with a 60-ish player. It should actually be fixed maybe. Laughing But I've had little problems with getting the ball with me while still having some speed to get in behind defence.

What I do not like is the fact the gameplay is still to quick and it seems fast paced players will have big advantage again. Sometimes my player sprints when I try to nick the ball with a standing tackle, not pressing the sprint button. Also having some issues with player switching, getting a player further away from the ball. Also CPU seems to play a little too much sideways, even running backwards (from offence to own area) on lower difficulty wich looks really ridiculous. Thankfully there is only one Beginner tournament in FUT.

And goalline tech is still messed up. Not a issue but kind of fun when they show the angle and the ball has yet to cross the goalline. Laughing

Cheapest place to get them is on Mexican Origin site.

You buy points to buy packs, in packs you get players, consumables, contracts etc etc, totally optional but it's a proper buzz opening packs and selling on the cards you don't want.

I got 2 x Jordi Alba and sold them both for 18k each so got a bit of coin from all my packs and managed to build a decent squad Very Happy

the game behaves strange, i get those stuttering with the ingame 60fps limit (geforce 770). fixed via setting to no limit and forcing vsync (has the positive sideeffect that replays and freekicks etc are 60fps to, with limit set to 60 those are limited to 30 like in the console version). but i saw other friends even with the same card and same drivers in which case it was exactly the other way around

I only got rid of the stuttering by limiting it to 120fps with radeonpro, same as last year.

I can't make RadeonPro to work with this one. Idk why. Any ideas? I set a profile (vsync always on), disable the limit to 60fps option from Fifa game settings but the profile doesn't override the game settings. Also how you limit to 120fps? What monitor do you have?

I do the right stick switch too, especially while defending or attacking goalkeeper kick offs, but still it feels a bit delayed and off, not as accurate as in FIFA 14. Still might just need to get used to the new controls to get it right.
