does anyone else get a strange microstutter around the six-yard box when you shoot. either when the ball reaches that area or when you are near it yourself?
for me it happens quite often during a game (but not every time, 80% at a guess), but only when shooting or attempting to shoot. if the commentary is playing durin the stutter, it will sometimes repeat the word.

I have some microstuttering inside the box too sometimes. I thought it was because I went to stock cpu clocks again but I see many complain about that. Idk though if it's the game's problem. It seems to me more than a cpu power processing thing as my q6600 at 2.4 may be weak when there are many players in the box. I'm playing with the Dynamic camera option which reduces significally any stutter. The problem is that there aren't custom graphic options. I haven't looked the ini but I doubt there is something there.
When I played the early access I saw potential in the game. That's why I bought it and gave money to this shitty company. The fact is that the game is really good and a huge step towards simulation. That's a big surprise for me. It's the first time this one feels like football. Yes there are cpu build up problems, they still dribble a lot but everything is improved. I even had a game with midfield battles! Defense is drastically improved and if you are patient you're awarded.
And PCG gave this a lower score ( 78 ) than last year's game. I see also many other gamers complain. No surprises here. Now that the game is good and plays a little like football everyone starts to complain.
If anyone is interested I'm playing on slow/Professional/10min with tweaked sliders:
Speed 45, Accel 49, Shot speed 49, Shot error 51/54, Passing error 51/72, GK ability 55, Injury frequency 60/65. Everything else on default for now. I just had a 0-0 draw vs Aston Villa (with Leicester) and it felt great as the stats were spot on in all areas.

in a way, i am glad it isn't just me, but obviously i'm also not glad for obvious reasons (they never fix anything that needs fixing)

Please see the below info if you are affected by the first bug reported by the op:
We've received reports from FIFA 15 players on PC that their teams and goalies run to and stay in midfield during gameplay. This seems to affect FIFA 15 players with PC names of four characters or less. Our team is investigating and working to resolve this as soon as possible.
In the meantime, please rename your PC using more than five characters until we have a permanent fix. Thanks for your patience and stay tuned for updates.

Btw i tried it and now requires re-activation and it fails. I think their servers are down

found one bug: preloaded the game in german, so game doesnt downloaded any other commentary. even though it let me chose english in the menus... never mind, downloaded the english commentary files, copied to game folder. selected english in audio menu. tested with local kickoff match, works fine. played a saison match online, again german. wtf?

already notice that, only english language, guess ill have to download by other means portuguese and add it.

When you first load up the game, it scans your retina's to find out how shit you are at playing, then drops you into a suitable league based on that info.
