No, pokerface that 25-30fps on top-shelf hardware is so applauded. I just... I don't get it.
Well, to be fair, 4k resolution is quite taxing. The GPU has to move 4 times as many pixels as it would at 1080p. It's not like an extra effect or detail, which might give you a performance hit of a couple of fps-es, raising the resolution can kill your framerate exponentially fast. It's a fact of life, not really Crytek fault.
It's the same as when people complained about Ubersampling killing performance in TW2. Of course it does, every frame has to be rendered multiple times, which impacts performance in a big way. Some options/setups require a lot of power, that's it.
If the game only went up to 1080p to be less gpu-intensive you would all be bitching about "unoptimized console shitport derp derp". At least they give you the option to scale upward, it's not like you're obliged to use it.

Is there any way to change the FOV? Don't think I could play it when his entire body blocks half the screen.
Gameplay still looks daft as ever, most likely the story is as well. So you end up with just shiny graphics... Meh... If the story would be good I could live with casual playstyle.
