I was reading a while back, that Pcars was going to have the Aussie Ford Falcon FG (possibly the V8 supercar, too), but I can definitely see that it's yet to exist.
I can't access their forum and ask, so does anyone know if this is a legit car that will be added, by chance?
What the fuck does "flat and fake like" even mean when it comes to lighting?
You need to look at both games (yes, because that's what you're using as your comparison material) better. The lighting models are very similar, only difference being that Driveclub softens a lot of edges a lot more due to overuse of post processing (including a PPAA method). Beyond that, interiors in Driveclub look terrible. If you had called _those_ "flat and fake like" I would've understood.
This is just a race in broad daylight, Driveclub has only been shown at dusk, dawn or night. Hard to compare that way.
I think it looks bad... and what the hell is going on with sharp turning.

That's not just lighting though, that has a lot to do with textures as well. And in this case, this guy's got everything turned up, bloom and pp included.

Let me put it this way werelds. Call it whatever you want, but when i see gameplay from driveclub no matter the daytime/weather etc i think that's the closest any game has come to simulating reality visually speaking ofcourse.
When i see PCars i know straight away that it's a game since there's so many little details from lighting to shading that just don't fit in some scenarios, like the video linked above.
I know .. big budget on consoles and bla bla, don't really care, just saying what i'm seeing. And my opinion won't really lower your enjoyment of the game so no need to get upset.
Q: Rene, Im still surprised you think this feels realistic? Yet I havent driven a LMP1 for sure Is pCARS really that close to your racecar? Thanks
A: Im glad to repeat myself A racecar isnt that hard to drive up to a point ( finding the last 0,5sec is ) Its not like we have to correct the racecar permanent nor do we have to fight it. As soon as you've found the limit its great to drive and thats just how it is in pCARS. Its feels stable and realistic and finding the last .01 sec is tough, in real life as in pCARS. Currently its the best simulation for me available, but thats just another opinion. I build the setup like Id do in real life, maybe thats the reason it feels different to me

I don't know what they did with the game... But... the performance increased drastically for me I will try to make some vids again. Of course it won't be on ultra
That's a great news Pumpy, makes me more hopeful since I'll have to stay with my puny 570 until next year (being on Intel will probably help, though). Maybe medium details and 60fps won't be a dream anymore!*
