Not as far as I know.
The same problem occurs with oculus rift dk2. It have to be set to extended and it is a 75hz display... and my monitor is 60hz. I have to lower down the res on my pc display to get both refresh rates to be even 75

You can do that through the nvidia control panel. Try looking about in the AMD CP?

I found info that Windows always tries to use the refresh rate of the primary monitor. Which in my case is 120hz. But sending 120hz to a 60Hz TV makes the image literally choke laggy.

If you want to use them in "clone" mode, then I suppose it won't work (don't know why you would want to use that mode though).

With extended desktop it works just fine - I have a 120Hz monitor, a 60Hz HDTV and another 60Hz monitor in portrait orientation working at the same time just fine. There really isn't any magic to it this way - it just works. You can set resolution and refresh rates through your basic windows display options for each screen. CCC is probably easier to manage though - Desktop Management-> Desktop Properties.

I am on W8 though, but I am not sure if it makes any difference. I had my TV at 24Hz from time to time during my W7 days and it seemed to work fine.

Extended works fine for me aswell.

My QNIX QX2710 runs at 100Hz and TV at 50Hz.

Extended is fine, but doesn't seem to work. on Windows 7. It's always 60Hz on my 120hz monitor when TV is enabled.

I assume you tried setting it to 120 again? It's just in my case Windows seems to switch between different "profiles" of sorts when different screen configurations are detected. That is, I have to set up desktop arrangements for when I have one or both screens enabled separately.

Either way it's a bit of surprise for me, since I have been using my multiple-desktop system this way from the start without any problems. I wasn't even aware this could be an issue Very Happy
